SLMM is not a help to get rid of terrorism
in Sri Lanka, but a hindrance to Sri Lanka's security

EU emboldened by Sri Lankas meek acceptance of EU demand for immediate
talks with the terrorists, continues its world policeman role by demanding
the military rulers of Burma/Myanmar to release the former three student
leaders and the two political activists immediately.
EU has still not sent out orders to Al-Kida or the Thailand coup leaders
.
Here in Sri Lanka they keep ordering about the government what it should
do, and the government is always at their beck and call. Bu the LTTE
terrorists do not care too hoots! They do what they want. The LTTE agrees
to talks but do not stop terror, and the EU does not send some one to
meet Prabhakaran to tell him to stop continued terror. The terrorists
are obedient to none, they are their own masters, responsible to themselves
for what they do. If it takes their fancy , LTTE terrorists will send
a suicide bomb to EU Parliament in Session. Neither the EU nor USA can
issue directions to them.
Every body, keeps controlling , making inquiries , and overseering
what the Sri Lanka government does- the Internation Committee of Jurists,
The Human Rights Groups, IRC, Amnesty International and numerous Senators
and Officials from America. But for the worst of crimes committed on
a daily basis, sniper killing of the late Laxman Kdirgmar, attempted
assassination of the Army Commander, and Kebetigollawa mass murder,
none of these International Guys would go to meet Prabhakaran to warn
him. EU and USA are non existent to warn the terrorists. The interference
with government activity is an international comedy, enacted to promote
their International Leadership image.
Every body is very enthusiastic about the LTTE terrorists and Government
talks as if every thing is hunky-dory now and nothing to worry. But
as in earlier talks nothing will come out of this round of three day
talks, which could have been held in Sri Lanka. Terrorists may have
agreed as it gives them a chance to cash a cheque for a few million
dollars from their Bank in Switzerland, as they are a bit short of money
at the moment ! And place orders for some ground to air missiles, they
are badly in need of……..
Strangely no-body still knows what they are going to talk about in
Switzerland. The government says they will discuss the core issues,
without having to beat about the bush. Neither the Government nor the
Norwegian terrorist puppets understands that they can take the horse
to water but cannot make it drink ! Terrorists are their own masters.
It should be made clear to the SLMM that there are no legal territories
for the terrorists. It is only the areas forcibly guarded by them as
their hideouts, from which to promote terror in the neighbour hood.
If these areas are cleared, the terrorism is half won. It is therefore
the duty of the security forces to chase the terrorists from their hideouts.
Hence, the SLMM cannot accuse the armed forces as having gone into LTTE
terrorist controlled areas. It is up to the SLMM to tell the terrorists
to stop carrying out terrorist activities outside where they hide, as
the armed forces have the right to go any where in Sri Lanka in carrying
out their duties of defence and territorial protection. If the SLMM
cannot do so, they should be asked to pack up and go. They are not a
help to get rid of terrorism in Sri Lanka, but a great hindrance for
Sri Lanka s security.
You can take a bet that, talks or no talks the terrorists will not
stop their sporadic attacks, placing claymore bombs, send their pistol
gangs, and if opportunity allows one or two suicide bombs. They are
at their elements in this type of murder and assassinations, which give
them better results than in a classical face to face warfare.
