Where is Prabhakaran and His Concern for The Tamils He Claims to Represent?

Why should the GOSL be held responsible for any short supplies of food items, if the cause is terrorism initiated by the LTTE which is blocking food supplies to the north? Is there any logic in this accusation being pointed at the GOSL? Not only food items, it is a very well known fact that in the aftermath of the Tsunami of December 2004, large quantities of relief supplies which were taken by civilians in the south, for distribution in the north and east were hijacked by LTTE and diverted to their own stores for their consumption! That is how much the LTTE is concerned about the Tamil community in the north and east.

No matter which foreign country decides to freeze aid to our country on the grounds that there is no visible effort being made by the GOSL to arrest the issue of defensive operations in the north and east, it is high time that all those foreign powers admitted the blaring truth, that the suffering inflicted on the Tamil community in the north is not inflicted by the government forces but by the so called "sole representatives" of the Tamil people- the LTTE. If not for their blood-thirsty war against innocent civilians and the government forces, there would be no war and there would have been no suffering for the majority Tamils living in the north. Isn't it another blaring truth that the LTTE is not sincere in their efforts to find a lasting solution peacefully by the manner in which they behaved in Geneva having spent an enormous amount of foreign exchange to facilitate their trip for peace talks? Why do we need to be fooled time and time again?

The weekend newspapers were full of articles reporting about how the GOSL was making arrangements to transport milk foods to children in the north-why cannot the LTTE show their genuine concern by making way for the SLMM to accompany the vehicles carrying food for their "beloved people?" There would be no short supplies if the supplies were permitted to be transported, without being blown up by mines!

It seems to be a known fact among the foreign sympathizers and certain religious leaders who are backing the LTTE that Prabhakaran is no longer among the living. If that is the case, why is it so difficult for them to admit it? How much longer is the LTTE terrorist outfit hoping to carry on this farce and to what extent are they hoping to hood-wink even their western sympathizers outside Norway who will ofcourse naturally, have know of this fact atleast one year ago! Expensive coffins under diplomatic protection are generally not transported to bury an ordinary man on the streets in terrorist held territory- is it?

Peace promoters both international and local, must talk to terrorists about the evils of war rather than holding protest meetings against the GOSL which is bound to protect our citizens against terrorist attacks. Why don't these same organizations make representations to the USA against the atrocities that the US government is doing against Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine? Sincerity in a cause knows no bounds- if the agenda is genuine.
