This is what the good doctor ordered

The LTTE sea base destruction by the air force is the right direction the government should be heading, while the whole infra structure of LTTE must be destroyed and there shouldn’t be any debate about this. In fact the Elephant Pass camp need to be destroyed if it still exists and all other camps, sea bases etc. The SLMM is referring to a non-existing Tiger territory with borders, which doesn’t help the GoSL in it’s venture to liberate Sri Lanka from the Tiger menace.

As Mahinda rightly pointed out there is no border other than one border in Sri Lanka and if there are imaginary borders they need to be dismantled and any reference to Eelam or similar references SHOULD BE BANNED in Sri Lanka.

While the EU has proscribed the LTTE it’s pure mockery that the EU ambassadors meet the LTTE delegation on their return to the island at the Colombo air port.

One could imagine the enormity of the suffering Tamils undergo in the hands of the Tigers, compared with the suffering they face due to the on going attacks by the Security personnel.

All Tamil fishermen who are barred from fishing in the North and East should be relocated and resettled in the southern coastal areas, as a temporary measure, to continue their trade, as it was customary for Sinhala fishermen to migrate to North and East during ‘ waarakan’ season. The government must have a massive plan to re-locate Tamils who wants to live in the South, including re-settlement of refugees from India. They should not be settled in the Tiger infested areas as they will continue to suffer under Tigers.

The opening of the A9 should have a ultimate condition of DISARMING the tigers and forcing them to come to their senses and negotiations. In the mean time the expats can look after the issue of aid to Sri Lanka, to convince their respective governments that unless the LTTE infra structure is destroyed there would be no end to this conflict.
