If India does not wake up now, and a terrorist Eelam becomes a reality in Sri Lanka, there may be a massive “break up” in India, worse than that of USSR !

And terrorist Eelam, may export suicide bombs with human “detonators”, as their principal money earner.

By Charles Perera,

“There is no military solution to Sri Lanka’s problems. There is a need to initiate talks between the government and the LTTE to resolve all issues. “ It is incomprehensible why India keeps on telling this, which we ourselves know very well. It reminds me of the question “ who is going to bell the cat ?”. India wants us to do what they cannot do and depends on our solving the problem, to avoid it from “spilling over” into their territory.

India can keep on repeating that , as a “manthra”, but that will not make the LTTE brutes, understand and come for a negotiated settlement. Even if they agree, they will put their conditions, such as a venue for negotiations out side Sri Lanka, preferably in Europe, and the discussions will not be held in a democratic atmosphere, with toleration and compromise. They will ask for the “pound of flesh”, without moving an inch from their stand .

If India wants to be the big brother, strong and wise to give us advice, why does not India send a delegation to meet Prabhakaran and ask him to meet the Government of Sri Lanka for peace negations. The Government of Sri Lanka is always willing to negotiate with the LTTE terrorists. It keeps on asking the terrorists to come for negotiations. So why should India keep on telling the government of Sri Lanka , “…….initiate talks.”; Either India is completely ignorant of the situation, or wants to keep away from all involvements, trying to show itself wise, and in par with the International Community.

It is far better that we appeal to Pakistan, Israel, Russia or China rather than go to India for advice. India’s attitude to Sri Lanka is not friendly and accommodating. India does not realize that if LTTE terrorists would manipulate with their foreign allies, like Norway, Switzerland, etc., and declare an Independent State, Madras will follow suit in India , and that would be the beginning of a massive break up of great India, not second to what happened in USSR..

Can one imagine Tamil Eelam of terrorists, whose revenue may depend on the mass production of Suicide and Claymore bombs. Exporting them along with human “detonators”, to groups of Tamils every where in the Globe, Canada, Australia, Malasia, Thailand, Netherland, Great Britain and USA ? Well done India, and the International Community, you have asked for it…………in your wise decision not to move to ask the terrorists in Sri Lanka to lay down their arms !

Political advice.

LTTE terrorists are taking their hit and run dirty war to the South. Isreal’s war against the Hezbollah enters the fifth week, and bombardments continue. The international community has still not come out with a plan to settle it. In Sri Lanka the LTTE terrorists have not stopped their killing spree. Therefore, the army should retaliate until the LTTE terrorists stop their boastful mouths, and ask for a cease fire.

There should not be areas in Sri Lanka controlled by the LTTE, and closed to defence forces of Sri Lanka. Therefore, a condition for cease fire should be an undertaking to give up all territory kept under their, so called , control, and handing over of all stocks of claymore bombs and mines, in their possession.

There is some truth in what JVP says, that keeping the CFA for an unlimited period of time is a danger. If the LTTE terrorists could find at least five countries to accept a Provisional Government declared by them, the Central government may have lot of problems to face.

Therefore a second thought about the CFA in consultation with, International Lawyers may avoid any surprises later.

When innocent people and the personnel of the defence forces are dying in numbers, there is no room for salaried employers, in the government or private sector to go on strikes. The government should take this into consideration and take corrective steps to stop strikes until the country is more settled, and the terrorists brought under control..

There are too many traitors who make financial gain from the painful situation our country is faced with. They should be denied their citizenship, and harsh punishment should be meted out to them.

The UNP leadership makes statements that discourage the army personnel, and detrimental to the government in its effort to get the International community involved some way to solve the problem with the terrorists. Therefore, if the UNP cannot support the government, well and good, but they should be stopped from making public statements, that would harm the Government taking appropriate decisions to stop terrorism from escalating.
