Congratulations - H.L.D.Mahindapala!! Prof. Hudson McLean Your following article published in Asian tribune and in Lankaweb-; What after Sampoor? deserves an applause!! Well documented and presented in a reader-friendly manner. Said that, I am delighted to see so many of the Lankaweb readership understanding that, the only means of having peace is through allowing the SLDF to finish what they have started. The violence in Sri Lanka was neither instigated nor inspired by the Sinhala. Yes some Sinhala mudalalis as well as some of the leading Sinhala military and business community raked in their fat commissions, with the tacit approval of both CBK and RanilW. There were several commission "wallahs" visiting Stockholm and Zurich collecting the "introductory fees" on behalf of their masters. Currently the balance of war has changed in the favour of SLDF. Wars, like most success stories, is like riding a bicycle uphill!. The moment one stops riding even harder, going uphill, either one falls down or goes backwards. SLDF has reached midway, but not the top. At this point in time, Stopping or taking a break is NOT an option. LTTE Terrorists are illegal squatters. If Norway, the only country which supports them, wishes to donate part of Norway, then "Good Riddance". Squatters either should "stop rocking the boat" or find another domicile to create their problems. Sri Lanka is one unitary Island. President Mahinda Rajapaksa heads the entire community. The SLDF must now move across the "boundaries" and demonstrate that the Law of the Land applies from Jaffna to Galle, and Killinochchi to Colombo. India should show their steel and demand the extradiction of Velupillai Prabhakaran. Send in the marine commandos. Or is India waiting for Pakistan to do the job? And let "Dr". Anton Balasingham drown in his own Scotch! Once again, Mr. Mahindapala - Thank You! Express Your Opinion - Read What Others Say! Please visit -: http://www.lankaweb.com/ |
