To Late Lakshman Kadirgamar.

By Charles Perera

It is already one year since your life, incomparable son of mother Lanka,
was taken away by a terrorist sniper. Many a lives of great men of dignity have been stopped by a bullet of a degraded individual. While these beasts in human form roam about to continue their degraded activity,
we have lost a great man who would have been a tower of strength at this time when we are at a decisive hour of our history, when even our closest big neighbour, has abandoned us.

Late Mr. Lakshman Kadirgamar a giant of a man, whose benign compassion to his country and his people, perhaps bright and radiant beyond death, may shine on us to give us wisdom to plan strategies, and strength to put them into action, and then to save Sri Lanka, which is being pushed to an abyss by a ruthless group of terrorists, while being put in to political isolation by those world powers paying lip service to democracy and freedom, seeking pleasure in the pains inflicted on a Nation by debased human beasts-the terrorists.

We miss you great hero, because you knew how to arouse sense, in those without sense, give sight, to those blind to reality , and awaken them from their lethargy to come forward to help us in our need.

We pray, dear Kadirgamar, please be born with us again to continue your work from where you were stopped from it.
