Pulidevan accepts many tigers had died

The Sri Lanka News

The LTTE has admitted that many of their cadres have died in a new offensive of the armed forces.

S. Pulidevan, head of the tiger's Peace Secretariat had accepted a large number of their members to be killed during the military retaliatory attacks in Jaffna, today(12).

He said their camps had suffered heavy damages in the retaliatory attacks. Information sources reveal that Prabakaran, himself had taken the decision to charge the SL forces with an offensive despite heavy opposing from its Wanni leaders.

The LTTE peace secretariat had denied further comments when asked wheather the Tiger leader's decision has paved any dividend to their cause.

Over 150 LTTE terrorists were killed and more than 230 were reported injured, quotes the latest news portal from the North, Jaffna area.

The SL security forces had successfully routed the LTTE terrorists with a consecutive failure, attempting to infiltrate into the military defences.

Intercepted communications confirmed that the fleeing LTTE terrorists had lost proper directions from the Wanni, leadership. This strategy to cut off communication links, with the retreating terrorists was opted to minimize the due risk of a potential aerial bombardment by the SL forces.
