Heavy Damages Inflicted On LTTE TerroristsSri Lanka newsTROOPS NOW CONSOLIDATING their positions ahead the MUHAMALAI Forward Defence Line (FDL) were able to spot nearly 100 125 dead bodies of LTTE terrorists scattered all over the place as the intensity of the fighting slowed down as of Sunday (13) afternoon. However, troops are now planning to inform the authorities to take away those dead bodies no sooner the LTTE artillery and small arms fire come to a total stop. Meanwhile, a flotilla of about 50 60 LTTE Sea Tiger boats desperately attempted to over run ALLAPIDDY village area in KAYTS Sunday (13) early morning but alert troops thwarted their attempt after targeting many of their approaching boats. Sailors who spotted these armed LTTE boats confronted them assisted by ground troops and Air Force causing heavy damages to at least 25 30 any boats. Another 10 15 boats were believed to have drowned as the
firing continued. However, troops have launched a cordon and search operation to trap those LTTE terrorist. The search is on. |
