Heavy Damages Inflicted On LTTE Terrorists

TROOPS NOW CONSOLIDATING their positions ahead the MUHAMALAI Forward Defence Line (FDL) were able to spot nearly 100 – 125 dead bodies of LTTE terrorists scattered all over the place as the intensity of the fighting slowed down as of Sunday (13) afternoon.

However, troops are now planning to inform the authorities to take away those dead bodies no sooner the LTTE artillery and small arms fire come to a total stop.

Meanwhile, a flotilla of about 50 – 60 LTTE Sea Tiger boats desperately attempted to over run ALLAPIDDY village area in KAYTS Sunday (13) early morning but alert troops thwarted their attempt after targeting many of their approaching boats.

Sailors who spotted these armed LTTE boats confronted them assisted by ground troops and Air Force causing heavy damages to at least 25 – 30 any boats.

Another 10 – 15 boats were believed to have drowned as the firing continued.
In the meantime, a group of terrorists from the boats have managed to swim across and enter the ALAIPIDDY village where thousands of civilians are living in harmony.

However, troops have launched a cordon and search operation to trap those LTTE terrorist.

The search is on.
