THE GOVERNMENT NOW LAMENTS THAT THEY DID NOT EVEN GET A THANK YOU NOTE FROM THE TERRORISTS TO THE GOOD DOER, MR

By Rangajeewa Rajakaruna

In Sri Lanka government’s defence website they are now lamenting that the President did not even get a thank you note from the LTTE for what he did for the terrorist propaganda man, Daya Master.
This shows how this government is full of wishful thinking and out of touch with reality that just by being humanitarian to the beast that is LTTE the terrorists would be grateful. Mahinda Rajapaksa’s whole policy is now based on this fanciful dream and like Ranil Wickremesinghe and Chandrika Kumaratunga he is destined to be doomed.

By trying to be magnanimous Ranasinghe Premadasa who boasted that he was a well-tempered (hondata themparaduwechcha) meaning well-experienced and (thambanna beri minihek) meaning a man who cannot be easily deceived, accommodated the LTTE suicide bomber in his own household and got killed. We pray Mahinda Rajapaksa would not follow in the footsteps of his foolish (and in the case of Ranil) traitorous predecessors. We also remind him that countries like Malaysia and India did not follow the advice of scheming US ambassadors in crushing insurgencies of their own countries. By listening to these imperialists we will have a no war no-peace situation in the country until they decide to take us over to grab our oil deposits in the island nation.

The peace merchants in Colombo and the so-called NGO’s have successfully reached the President and the ill effects would be exhibited very soon. Just after Kebithigollewa the peace merchants put up black flags against the President blaming him for the war, just to absolve their darling the LTTE. And the not- so-far- seeing Rajapaksa has fallen into their trap.

We hear that the LTTE proxy party, the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) is always whispering things to the President’s ear and molding his thoughts in favor of the LTTE while embracing the terrorists for their killings of their political enemies like the EPDP and PLOTE and our security personnel. If there is no change in these policies of President Rajapaksa the Sinhala Buddhists under whatever banner they prefer will have to get on to the streets and show the President who the real boss is in this country, since we certainly put him in power while Lalith Kotelawela with all the evil dark forces did quite the opposite and miserably failed. Otherwise our own security forces, would get totally demoralized by the actions of their own commander in chief.

The government’s statement concludes by telling the magnanimity of the Rajapaksa shown to the evil and dark forces of this country is a bitter pill for the LTTE to swallow. In fact, the cold shoulder shown to the government is a bitter pill for the Rajapaksas (to Mahinda, Gotabaya ,Basil and Chamal and many others) and should become an eye-opener to reality about the decades old war. To be precise, Mahinda Rajapaksa is going on the wrong track quite opposite to the one the majority of the masses expected him to walk along. To follow the dictates of the US ambassadors against our people is not democracy. Isn’t there a single person in this government to ask the US ambassador why they refuse to talk to the terrorists and expect us to do so, when history has shown that the LTTE is not ready to agree to anything else but on their own terms? The US ambassador must be a fool to tell us to go for negotiations with them when they are not ready to come for negotiations unless we agree to the separation of the country? Is that what the US wants ultimately to break up India? The US should understand that they would have a worse Iraq in their hands by being involved in this filthy conspiracy.

Please publish below what the defence website said about their own fanciful thoughts about Daya Master lamenting they did not even get a mention about the good thing the great and magnanimous Rajapaksa did for the greatest liar of the century, born in the island nation. They even lament there was no mention about Daya Master in LTTE’s electronic media, the notorious lie sheets. In fact to mark the entry of Daya Master to Colombo they killed our soldiers and policemen in the North. We quote below what the Defence Ministry website said:

“LTTE media Spokesman, Daya Master was provided with maximum medical attention, after his family members requested for medical assistance from the Sri Lankan government. The request was channeled through the Peace Secretariat, on Wednesday the 12th of July 2006.

“The request made by Daya Master's family members in desperation was immediately given utmost consideration, by H.E the president. The president's deep consideration for providing assistance on a humanitarian basis enabled Daya Master and his family members being escorted by the Sri Lankan security forces from Omantai to Colombo, no sooner the official sanction was granted.
“Despite continuous LTTE violence, in the North and East areas, this gesture by the president is indeed laudable.

“Daya Master, said to be suffering from "cardiac arrest", will be provided with the best medical treatment whilst in hospital in Colombo. Special security is provided by the security forces for the Tiger media spokesman.

“Despite all the humanitarian assistance given to the ill Tiger media, spokesman, Pro-LTTE media has thus far refrained from reporting any news related to the matter. The Pro-LTTE electronic media has taken the least interest to reveal the truth about the magnanimous and humanitarian gesture of goodwill of both the president and the government.

“Pro-LTTE media reporting an opening ceremony of a newly constructed hospital in Kilinochchi, on Monday the 10th of July, has have strangely remained very silent about their spokesman's illness.
“Double standards and bias of the Tiger media exposes their unwillingness to accept the Sri Lanka Government's deep commitment to the continuation of the peace process. It is indeed a bitter pill for them to swallow.”
