Sri Lanka government faces two types of terrorists, the LTTE terrorist using bullets and UNP terrorist using words.

In the middle stand the I C, with the donkey phrase “both parties should find a negotiated settlement”

By Charles Perera

The Government of Sri Lanka is facing a two pronged attack from two types of terrorists. The first type is the LTTE terrorists who use bullets and the other is the UNP terrorists who use words.

The LTTE terrorists, one can understand, wants to defeat the government and set up their Eelam. The UNP terrorists are, are more complexed, trying to destabilize the government, and if possible indirectly help the LTTE terrorists, for a major victory over the Government forces, so that it will discredit the government, and eventually pave the way for the UNP to form a government, with the help of the LTTE, TNA,SLMC of Hakeem, and Thondamans Tamil Congress.

If the Sri Lanka voters could be fooled once again by Ranil Wickramasinghe, and the rest, who have not recovered from the electoral beating they got at the last Presidential Election, Ranil will be back in power, and this time for sure Sri Lanka will be divided North and East to LTTE, and the remainder to Ranil.

That seems to be the scenario envisaged by Ranil, Tissa, Rajitha, GL and the rest of the UNF band. The International Community too will play into their hands, as a divided Sri Lanka will be ideal for them to wield their power in the Indian Ocean.

None of the world leaders are genuinely interested in what is going on in Sri Lanka. They all treat the terrorist and the Sri Lanka Government as two different entities of equal

responsibility, each with its own power base. The UNO which has become an American Institution, which is unable to make any valid evaluations of its smaller member states, has become a sort of “its master’s voice”. Canada, has followed the Americans using the donkey phrase, that “both parties in Sri Lanka should find a negotiated settlement”.

But they little understand that the solution against terrorism in Sri Lanka, as every where else in the globe has to be a military solution. If all the members of the International Community pays only lip service with this donkey phrase, that “both parties should find a negotiated settlement” without actively supporting the government to put an end to LTTE terrorism, the Government of Sri Lanka should go ahead with military action against the LTTE terrorists alone, until every one of the terrorist is wiped out from the country. If in that effort the Government Forces are defeated, and the LTTE terrorists sets up an Eelam, it is very unfortunate, but let us nevertheless take the risk, woo be unto the Co-Chairs , the International Community and the UNP and all the rest.
