GETTING RID OF TAMIL TERRORISTS SHOULD BE OUR NATIONS TOP PRIORITY

Any civilized country would take action to eliminate a ruthless and heartless foe that threatens its territorial integrity, the safety of its citizenry and their freedom of expression and movement. That's what we have a legitimate government and a military force for. Why should the international community grudge our inalienable right to act as a sovereign nation?

What truce or peace process with ruthless racist terrorists who have no respect for peace? The mental state of racist terrorists is a brainwashed, self-centred and a highly extreme one, incapable of adopting and observing any form of peaceful means of settling issues and disputes. The whole mentality of racist terrorists is fanatically divisive, jarring, disruptive and discordant.

The goal of the racist Tamil LTTE is to carve out a racist enclave within our nation. It is highly naïve to expect these terrorists to agree to anything short of separation. It is ridiculously irrational for anyone to expect these terrorists to relinquish peacefully what they already are in control of in the Vanni? The realistic and effective means of dealing with these racist terrorists is to get rid of them and their leadership, through our military might and the support of our peace-loving people at large – Sinhela Buddhists and Christians, Tamil Hindus and Christians, Muslims and all others who wish to co-exist as peaceful people of a single nation.

We should use our own resources to the fullest, to resolve this national problem. We should use our military forces to the maximum to get rid of terrorists and capture those aiding and abetting them. If given a free hand, our military is quite capable of doing it at present. Our military forces are not only well-equipped but are also well experienced. They are a powerful, dedicated and motivated national resource that is, apparently, not being put to maximum use. It is time that this is done. Military action is the only way to handle and subdue these nasty inhuman terrorists. How could a country tolerate murderers? How could a country tolerate traitors?

The racist Tamil LTTE does not represent the Tamil people as it claims. Today, this is well evident and is a widely accepted fact. It should be emphasized that the majority of Tamil people do not commit murder like the LTTE. They do not kill and maim. They are not involved in gun running, drug running, child abuse and prostitution, like the terrorist LTTE and its henchmen living overseas. Tamil people in the north were deprived of their basic democratic right to use their vote at the Presidential elections. I am sure that most Tamils are waiting for the day when they can exercise their right for a free vote, to be free from the vicious clutches of these ruthless racist LTTE terrorists. This is good enough reason to get rid of the traitorous Tamil terrorists.

The socio-cultural foundation of our motherland is built on compassion, righteousness and morality as taught in Buddhism. These are the very hallmarks of the nation that are being grossly violated by these racist terrorists. They are doing it within the country and outside to damage and demean the sound international image our country has been able to buold during the long period of its history. These treacherous terrorists, continue to mislead the international media with their illusory explanation of Sinhela Buddhist discrimination as the reason for their racist terrorist stance.

Any popularly elected government is constitutionally pledged to safeguard the values upon which our nation is founded. All concerned people of the country, Sinhela Tamil, Muslim, Moor, and others, Buddhists, Catholics, Christians and Hindus, should not sit modestly and indifferently while some people and some leaders- political, religious, professional of the respective communities practice either inadvertently or naively a hypocrisy that is shameful and treacherous. Safeguarding the interests of our country and its wholesome cultural values should be uppermost in their minds at a time like now when the country is faced with severe threats by the Tamil terrorists and their supporters.

We need to start a full-scale programme of informing on a regular basis, the peace-loving, especially the main-stream community in the country, on the open and subtle anti-national movements and trends evident in the country that caters to the aspiration of racist Tamil terrorists.

All malpractices and devious methods of the mass media, adopted to justify either directly or indirectly the racist terrorist and divisive causes and undermining our indigenous cultural values and individual rights irrespective of ethnicity or religion, should be exposed and action taken to effectively control them. Military action and public participation and vigilance are necessary to contain the racist Tamil terrorist problem of our nation once and for all.
