It was with utter disgrace that I watched my good friend
Siva walk along the LTTE ruffians in Oslo. I believe that it is a blessing
in disguise that you did not get the opportunity to sit with the murderous
LTTE on their behalf in the cancelled conference.
I still remember what you told me when I was leaving Sri Lanka. You
wanted to stop me becoming a second class citizen in a country of the
whites. (You did the same later!) I was surprised to see the man with
high moral and good reasoning trying to represent a set of illiterate
cowards. Siva, you are a man with a status and dignity and it is unbecoming
of a distinguished Tamil of your caliber to sit with murderers and social
outcasts of the LTTE.
The man who stood for justice and guardian of law and order cannot become
a member of the band wagon of criminals who recruit our children for
fighting, send the elders and women to war. You cannot be part of the
group who rob the us of our land, extract the hard earned money from
our diaspora and intimidate us. Furthermore a man of your status sure
cannot bite the hand that fed you; you are still drawing a pension from
the Government of Sri Lanka.
Finally I would like to remind you that the whole world is watching
you. Your new found country is also monitoring the liaison you have
with an organization that it is considering to proscribe. You still
have time to realize that the way to help the suffering Tamil masses
is not to join a murderous organization that is self proclaiming to
be our sole representative by oppressing the true leaders of our community.
