Daya Master affair tarnished

The Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU) alleged that the government
had been trapped in a highly advanced military-political and psychological
operation launched by the LTTE through the concocted heart ailment of
Daya Master.
JHU General Secretary Ven. Dr. Omalpe Sobhitha thera said that the
image built by the President in southern society had been shattered
through this psychological operation. It brought to an end the credibility
of the president and Mahinda Chintanaya's dominating authority, in eyes
of the Southern masses.
A new Sri Lanka proposed by Mahinda Chintanaya's went back to old Sri
Lanka. The Daya Master episode proved that Mahinda Rajapakse too is
following the same path taken by Chandrika Kumaratunga and Ranil Wickremesinghe,
Sobitha Thera claimed.
"The comedy has now come to an end. Doctors at Apollo hospital
have confirmed that Daya Master did not suffer from any heart condition.
The government was taken for a ride by the doctor of the Kilinochchi
hospital, the Tiger Peace Secretariat, the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission
and the Norwegian embassy," he said.
The Tiger operation was able to heap public abomination on President
Mahinda Rajapakse and he lost his standing among the public, Sobitha
Thera added.
