Would a terrorist organization
that is banned abroad be allowed free access to the entire country while
it is allowed to have areas under its control where others cannot go,
or can go only after passing border guards and paying taxes!
Would a democratically elected
government provide VIP security and armed escorts for members of a terrorist
organization to travel abroad without passing through regular customs
and immigration!
Would Ministers of the elected
government agree to a meeting with members of a terrorist organization
on foreign soil, (as stipulated by the same terrorist organization!),
only to have these ragtag terrorists refuse to meet on the grounds that
the Ministers were not of high enough rank!
Would you have a government agreeing
to a monitoring mission and negotiators headed by a country that is
patently biased towards the terrorists!
Would the government overlook the
continued violations of a Cease Fire Agreement (that is fast becoming
a joke) with terrorists who are not interested in peace because they
believe that power is in the barrel of a gun!
Wouldthe government not yet have
realized that the terrorists agreed to the so-called Cease Fire Agreement
only to allow themelves time to hoard up sufficient arms, to organize
caches of arms all over the island, to get in place ‘sleepers’
who will act as suicide bombers and assassins!
Woulda government not have taken
a lesson from the USA, (which went all out to hunt out the terrorists
of 9/11), and make an all-out effort to take out the terrorist leader
(who is hiding in a bunker in the jungles afraid to show his face, with
his wife and children safely out of the country) whilst getting his
people and their children killed.
Would the President allegedly arrange
a ‘secret’ meeting with the terrorist organization that is
published in its entirety in the newspapers the very next day!
Would the President of the country
facilitate the media coordinator of the terrorist group access to medical
facilities in the country’s capital while the same terrorist organization
refused to allow the International Red Cross access to a wounded soldier
in the North East.
Would the President still try to
have a ‘peace’ (!) accord with terrorists while the whole
world is watching Israel devastate a whole country to get back one soldier.
Yes, these things would only happen
in Sri Lanka. Maybe the whole country fell down the rabbit hole with
Alice!!
