WILL BRITAIN BOW DOWN TO TIGER TERRORIST THREATS ON ITS OWN SOIL?

Sri Lanka’s tiger terrorist outfit which is banned as a ruthless terrorist organisation in world’s 29 leading nations and in the potential banning list of several other nations having got heavily beaten by the dedicated and patriotic Sri Lankan gallant forces, and having got the bloated myth of an invincible formidable fighting force crushed to tatters, and having got pauperized by men and material to recoup is planning to stage a mass protest in London on United Nations Peace Day on 21st September, Thursday. A notice published in the terrorist website “Sibernews” and e-mail messages sent by this terrorist Website warns that they would paralyze the entire London on this day. How could Britain being one of the 29 countries that have banned the tiger terrorist outfit allow this kind of terrorist bullying to take place in its own soil and allow a foreign terrorist gang to jeorpadise the normal life of its innocent people?

As per the news item appearing in the Website, which had also been dispatched as an e-mail Newsletter, this protest march has been organized by the pro-LTTE city councilor and many British councilors have agreed to extend their cooperation and assistance for this uncivilized event. The news item claims that this what they call the “mass protest” will be against Sri Lanka’s State Terrorism, and councilors from all the 32 boroughs of London would participate.

The Greater London area contains 32 London boroughs which are elected every four years. These boroughs are the most important unit of local government in London, and are responsible for running most local services in their areas, such as schools, social services, waste collection and road construction and maintenance.

The news item warns that on this day, that is on the United Nations Peace Day, there will be mass protests in front of all the 32 boroughs by Tamils and their supporters from 10.00 a.m.till 8.00 p.m.and it is aimed to paralyze the London City on this day. The news item claims that 3 Ministers from the Government will also take part in these protests but fail to identify these Ministers. The website requests Tamils in the City of London to go to their own borough areas on this day and participate in the planned protest from these respective areas. In this regard the website list the addresses of the 32 boroughs and requests the potential participants to be present at the said addresses. They have also given a long list of telephone numbers of persons to be contacted for further information and arrangement details about this protest march.

The last paragraph of the news item, however, gives the real purpose of this protest march. It says “for all assistance the Tamil youths, legal advisers and council members will joint with you. Protesting in front of your provincial council area, can give pressure to the British Ministers to approve permanent residence permit to 50 thousands of Sri Lankan Tamils”.

This is a clear indication of how the innocent Tamils in the Northern and Eastern provinces of Sri Lanka experiencing enormous hardships and suffering under the jackboots of the terrorist outfit are being used by the terrorist leadership and their henchmen in the Sri Lankan Tamil Diaspora to gain their selfish demands. Just to get permanent residency for 50 thousand economic asylum seekers and for them to live a luxurious British life these terrorists are attempting to subject everyone in London to great hardships on this important universal Peace Day.

A few days ago, Dominick Chilcott., the British High Commissioner in Sri Lanka undermined the great strides being made by our gallant forces and predicted that it would be a serious miscalculation to believe that the country’s problem could be solved militarily.

Instead of condemning the terrorist outfit which deprived the innocent masses drinking water and water for irrigation, caused a great exodus of refugees from Muttur and adjoining areas second only to the exodus of refugees from Jaffna in 1990, and murdered nearly 100 fleeing refugees, the British High Commissioner demanded the government should cease hostilities and commence negotiations with the terrorist outfit.

The biased British High Commissioner and the British government authorities should take serious notice of terrorist activities being perpetrated in the very British soil by these ruthless terrorists despite they being declared as a proscribed terrorist organisation in Britain. If the British government is genuinely committed for eradication of terrorism as its leaders vociferously cry from every roof top and have no duplicity in the treatment of terrorists, the gang of tiger terrorists that plans to obstruct British civil life next Thursday should be taken into custody, tried them under the British law, and deported to Sri Lanka in the first available aircraft. We Sri Lankans are people of hospitable and humanitarian characteristics and hence we would not demand that these terrorists who plan to disturb British civilian life next Thursdday should be subjected to the instant punishment meted out to the young Brazilian just after the 7th July London train bombing incidents.
