New Mission For Mr. Solheim

Who is the fool or rather which foolish Dick-Head of Sri Lanka's Presidents allowed Norway to be Sri Lanka's peace facilitator.

In the US, Norwegians are known to be workaholics. US as we all know is a pot-puree of migrants. Of those who emigrated to the US Norwegians were the least qualified but some of the most arrogant. Their qualifications being that they are blue eyed, blond haired and white skinned. They carry with them the arrogance of being born white. For that matter most whites the world over, carry that misconception. There is a saying in England (during my many visits to that country that I learnt) that a white man in birth inherits three important characteristics. The color of his skin, his arrogance and a rather dangerous belief that he is superior to the darker skinned fellow inhabitants on planet earth. So ninety nine percent of the Caucasians feel that they are superior to the rest of the world.

Of course there are the likes of us, who have traveled the world over, read about world affairs, politics and history, had a fairly comprehensive education about fellow man (kind of got out of the hole in the ground scenario) that look at the world with a different perspective. The fact that I am married to a very highly educated lady from the Paradise Island does help me a lot to understand that there is a bigger world out there(some countries big and some countries small, all with their own culture, beauty and of course problems).

The Indians (the Sri Lankans are categorized as Indians in the US) and the Chinese have contributed greatly to remove this misconception. Their 2000 plus years of recorded history, their learning skills (especially in mathematics and science), the close family ties they have has contributed to this. In fact in the US since early 1970's folks from India are accepted as whites. In 1970's even in the most anti-black neighborhoods in Louisiana and Alabama most of the college professors in mathematics and science were from India.

Getting back to the Norwegians these people work very hard and follow orders without asking questions. The collapse of Norway's fishing industry and the shipping industry in early 1970's hit Norway hard and resulted in mass migration of Norwegians to the US. In fact when I visited Sandefjord, a university town north of Oslo in 1972, the population in the whole city was about 4000 of which 2100 were college students. Even today in the USA, in the main Port City of Seattle (In the Pacific coast) the entire fishing fleet is Norwegian dominated. Without doubt they are great sea-farers.

In the Midwest (where I live) where the winter temperatures can drop to minus 30 Centigrade (30 below zero) the Norwegians thrive. They love the cold weather (also love to eat whale meat and a kind of rotten cheese). Unlike in Norway, in the US, they own huge farms and feedlots (feed lots are cattle breeding compounds where without allowing the cattle to wonder about looking for grass, food is brought to them. Each feedlot may have up to 100,000 head of cattle. They are reared for slaughter. USA slaughters about 180,000 heads of cattle daily, for food).

Getting back to the Norwegians the tamil migrants in Norway (I am sure), to the Norwegians resemble what they are in the US in that they work like slaves without asking many questions.

Norway has very little to offer in terms of international achievements. They tried to make a big political capital for themselves in the Middle East by trying to make peace between Palestinians and the Israelis. This failed miserably. The Norwegians do not know when to give up and tried their hand at solving Sri Lanka's problems.

This is a country that seems to be screaming for attention. As far as Norway is concerned they do not want to understand terrorists and terrorism. No one has attacked Norway yet. One day the Tigers might when they demand a separate Eelam in Norway. When they do the mighty Viking will change its philosophy.

Solheim and his politically naïve Norwegians should get a copy of the recent speech made by the Sri Lanka's President Rajapaksa at the gathering in Cuba of the Non Aligned Countries. The good president went to great details to explain the difference between Terrorism and Liberation.

Would US and Europe sit down and talk to Al Queida as equals? hell no! During the 40 plus year war did Britain talk to IRA as equals - No bloody way. Which terrorist group in the world were treated as equals and which government sat down to talk with a terrorist group. Well only one country on this planet and that is Sri Lanka. Why should Sri Lanka be forced to talk to a bunch of raving mad, lying murderers as equals? Norway should have an answer to that.

Who made foolish and crazy loons like Tamil Silva assume that he is a head of the LTTE political bureau. Which crazy fool made Ugly Anton a spokes person to the LTTE . Why should a group of blood thirsty murderers have a political chief and a spokesperson. Before Norway it was Sri Lanka's neighbor the Big Brother India showing its might to tiny Sri Lanka and using it to solve its own problems in Tamil Nadu. They went to the extent of training the Tigers and cutting them lose in the Paradise Island. Well, India burnt itself bigtime. It paid the ultimate prize reserved for the foolish and the arrogant. The very Tigers they nurtured and bred, cold bloodedly murdered India's most popular son - Nehru's grand son and Madam Gandhi's own blood.

Well, Mr. Solheim, learn from the lessons in history. There is no comparison between India and Norway when it comes to culture and history. We also know that as far as Norway is concerned except for a bunch of murdering invaders called Vikings, they do not have a much of a history. There is a kind of a similarity when it comes to the LTTE and Norway - in fact they are like the birds of a feather.

Well, Mr. Solheim how about helping the world solve Al Queida situation. How about bringing them to the negotiating table and let them be treated as equals too? That is your new project Sir. How about it?
