DEMOCRACY OF THE TAMIL EELAMA.A.M. NIZAM MATARA.Efforts being made by the government to apprise the international community of its total commitment to peace and the unreserved consideration it has for the wellbeing and liberation of the Sri Lankan community under the jackboots of the terrorist outfit are commendable. Despite these magnanimous efforts shameless Peace Merchants under the payroll of foreign vested interests and the treacherous Ranil Camp of the UNP for selfish purposes yearn for the prolongation of the shadow war by continuing to misrepresent facts and by spreading vicious propaganda against the government and its noble objectives. They make every fraudulent effort to portray the terrorist outfit as an organization committed to peace and willing to enter the democratic path. Their joint campaign of Lies for Dollarsand Mischief to gain Power remains exposed and shattered by the decree of their own celebrity terrorist LTTE. In the wellknown vibrant article to the Asian Wall Street Journal,
in various newspaper interviews and through numerous public speeches
His Excellency the President Mr. Mahinda Rajapakse has clearly and emphatically
chartered Sri Lankas policy based on total commitment to peace
and for the wellbeing of the masses on an equal footing devoid of racial
and other discriminations. Similarly Foreign Minister Mr. Despite these clear policy statements and official clarifications the servile dollar crows Kumar Rupasinghe, Jehan Perera, Rohan Edirisinghe, Jayadeva Uyangoda, Lasanha Wickrematunge, Priyath Liyanage, Amal Jayasinghe, Victor Ivon, Sunanda Deshapriya, Sonali Samarasinghe, Nimalka Fernando, and their ilk, the shameless born Sinhala treacherous journalists/self appointed peace activist/political analyst/policy formulator gang and the Ranil Groupof the UNP whose only objective is to gain power by hook or by crook continue to whitewash the terrorist outfit, absolve it from its conspicuous and horrendous crimes, elevate it to the status of an illusory nation state, portray it fraudulently as a peace aspirant, misrepresent it as the representatives of the Tamil community, while fallaciously condemning and accusing the government as the mother of all ills. Prabhakaran who has never given up the goal of a separate State claims, I am opposed to multi-party democracy. It is through the one- party rule that we can develop the Eelam faster. (Inside an Elusive Mind/page 138). This is a clear exposition of the basic tenet of his fascist ideology. Webeelam is a Tamil language Website operated by Pottu Amman, the Intelligence Head of the Terrorist Outfit. In a serialized short articles the terrorist outfit explains it s real policies and defends subversion of dissent, forced recruitment and arms training which is entirely different from what it present for the English speaking audience and what the dollar crows and the treacherous Ranil group of the UNPclaim. All Sri Lankans must thoroughly read these articles translation of which are given below: These articles entitled Democracy of the Tamil Eelam state the following in Part I: More or less for 20 years the nation of Tamil Eelam is being ruled
by The Liberation Tigers. There prevail restrictions for views against
the liberation struggle. Those who function against the Liberation Tigers
are being punished. Certain groups who are registered political parties
in Sri Lanka are not allowed to function in Tamil Eelam. With these facts the enemies of Tamils are castigating the Liberation Tigers as opponents of democracy. The democratic system came into being in Greeece 2500 years ago under
which the people were able to elect their representatives to administer
their state of affairs. However there were no voting rights for the
women and slaves. The state of affairs were governed smoothly without
any collision with the King;s authorities. However at a time of war
the rulers rescinded their power and vested all authority with the King.
Since they realized that to win the war all power should be under the
control of one authority the King, they When a country is faced with a war the first thing that country does is to declare Emergency Law. By this Law all authority is concentrated in one authority. The President, and the Commander of Forces become empowered to take any decision. If it becomes necessary, elections will be postponed until the end of the war. Censorship will also be introduced to prevent adverse propaganda being spread by the enemy forces. Groups supporting the enemy will be banned. These laws were enforced by certain countries very strictly and certain countries on a lighter vain. No country that faced a war failed to use these laws so far. Despite that certain countries misused these laws and it is a very essential law when a war prevails. Tamil Eelam is a small country fighting for its liberation against
the aggression of Sri Lanka. Up to now the whole world stands along
with its enemy. The enemy is powerful in men and weaponry. Under such
circumstances there is no fault in Tamil Eelam using the methods of
Emergency Law that other countries enact. It is not against democracy.
But those who voice phony democracy demanding that other groups should
be allowed to operate, and freedom of expression (that may lead to spread
of vicious propaganda) should be allowed can never be under any circumstances
the friends of the Tamil Eelam people. There is an important question to raise here. It is acceptable if a government elected by the people declares the Emergency Law, but who gave that to the Liberation Tigers? What rights the Liberation Tigers has to formulate laws and enact such laws? How can one accept Liberation Tigers which had not participated in any election yet as the representative of the people? Some may think that these questions are reasonable. But the truth is it is the people who elected the Liberation Tigers as their representatives and installed them in their governance. This is something that happened only by way of elections. Part II states: No liberation movement in the world cannot operate or grow in strength
without the support of the masses. Mao Tse Tung, considered as the father
of China expressed an opinion that suits to all liberation movements
in the world. He said that a liberation fighter should be like a fish
in the water. Here Mao Tse Tung considers the masses as the water. How
much a fish needs water to be alive a liberation movement needs the
support of the masses to prevail. If the water does not remain suitable
for the fish and remains as poisonous or assiduous water the fish would
die. Similarly the moment if a liberation movement looses the support
of the masses it would be destroyed by the enemy groups. We can site
hundreds of liberation movements in the history that got destroyed since
they lacked the support of the masses. If a liberation movement grows
in strength without the support of the masses, it would be against the
rules of nature. Therefore if a liberation movement grows in strength
we can say our eyes closed that it had gained the support of the masses.
When a liberation movement is fighting against the government authority of the nation it would not participate in the elections of that government authority. Liberation Tigers who are struggling for the liberation of the Tamil Eelam would not participate in elections held under the set up of Sri Lanka. But there are some election results to show for those who insist that Liberation Tigers should prove their support by participating in elections. When Liberation Tigers announced that the masses should boycott the
elections 90% of the masses boycotted the elections held in the 1980s.
However, the government of Sri Lanka and the para-groups continuously claim that the masses reject the Liberation Tigers and the Liberation Tigers is suppressing the masses. For the sake of argument say these claims are true. If it is true, is it to the people who oppose them that Liberation Tigers is providing military training? Will anyone provide military training to persons who oppose them and who hate them? Presently the numbers of persons who have received arms training are more than those who compose the Liberation Tigers. It is among these arms trained people the Liberation Tigers is existing. It is childish and hilarious to say that a minority is keeping a majority of masses who are more powerful than themselves suppressed. At this moment, it is also pertinent to think about another thing.
Those who analyze impartially would realize and accept that the Liberation Tigers is a peoples movement and it is with peoples support that the rule of the Liberation Tigers is taking place. At the time a Liberation movement is protecting the masses the masses too should protect that movement. Alternatively the masses and the liberation movement guide each other. If these things happened only a liberation struggle could reach its zenith. Our struggle has reached its zenith. Also a government that could function with masses and the liberation movement working with each other would be a government with true democratic principles. Therefore, the rule now prevalent in the Tamil Eelam is an absolute democratic rule elected by the masses. We claim elected by the masses. We claim democratic rule. Does the Liberation Tigers rule in Tamil Eelam contain the principles of a democratic rule? Can we call it a government? To be continued (The third part is to be published yet). Why the dollar crows and the Ranil group of the UNP attempt to hide this fascist nature of the terrorist outfit? It is absolutely clear that attempts to bring the terrorist outfit for negotiations and make them agree to denounce terrorism and embrace democracy are utterly futile exercises. Time is ripe for Sri Lankans to resolutely demand the government to give the highest priority to annihilate terrorism from our precious soil and liberate the masses under the jackboots of the tiger terrorists.
