Re. Opinion about LA Pieris's Letter

Mr. LA Pieris's (UK) letter about the statement made by Mr. Ranil Wickremasinghe is a distorted account to the statement that he actually made. In his speech while he mentions that the Security forces cannot win the war totally by military means, he also mentions that in the same way the Tigers cannot win the war using their terrorist methods also.

What he meant was that the conflict cannot be resolved my military means and ultimately we need a political solution.

In my opinion Mr. LA Pieris has distorted the facts to his own racist ideologies.Mr. Pieris lives in the UK and advocates this sort of warped thinking. Why does he not live within Sri Lanka and face the brunt of the war, the fear that we undergo and the daily uncertainities where we even fear for our children and talk tough the way he does.

This sort of warped ideologies are the reason that we have our country in such a mess today.
Wake up and see reason Mr. Pieris UK!!!

No one condones Terrorism. However, we must be pragmatic and accept the situation and stop the bloodshed and innocent lives lost.

If Mr. Pieris wants war let him send his children or come to Sri Lanka himself, join the forces and fight the war up north without being an armchair general.
