JUST ANOTHER SOLHEIM !!!

A bizarre story is making the Colombo circuit. And I happened to stumble upon it by chance.

The other day I visited a government institution to attend to a private matter. The bureaucracy was still in a slumber. And as I stood by watching the inactivity of the functionaries, I spied a man beside me eyeing one particular officer and whispering to his accomplice this obscure statement. "Avoid that guy at all cost, he is just another Solheim!" The bureaucrat in question was seated comfortably and enjoying his morning tea while browsing his favorite daily.

I couldn't help but be intrigued and also baffled by this obscure pronouncement. I was compelled to break in and query, "I could not help over-hearing how you described that officer over there as being; 'just another Solheim', what on earth did you mean by that comment."

He looked me over as if I was from another planet and shot back, "I can see, you are new around here parts and unaware as to how some of these bureaucrats function. The fellow in question arrives and stamps himself in the morning; He then enjoys his morning tea and goes through the daily. Subsequently he gets round to 'discussions and talks' with all and sundry. Finally, he interviews a few of the public who have come to get their official work attended to. To these 'patrons' he gives assurances that he will look into their matter, just come back the following week or sometime next month, and the matter will be taken care of, to his or her satisfaction. Obviously, this is the standard run-around he gives every one; for come next week nothing has been attended to. Then its time for his lunch and his cat nap. Finally, before you can say 'Jack Robinson' his work day is done and time for him to sign out. He arrived; he had his chats and discussions, put out his evasive rhetoric, and did a charade of doing work, put on a great big show to all and sundry and departed.

I was dazzled by the simile. These guys may look deaf and dumb I thought, but got their metaphors up to date. Indeed we find Solheim descends upon Sri Lanka like a paroxysm. Hue and cries are sounded by the catchers of the well oiled 'peace industry', which has been put in place for such occasions. It is then broadcasted that the eminent Solheim through the goodness of his heart will solve all of Sri Lanka's problems. He then approaches the Sri Lankan uncle 'Tom" leaders such as Ranil or satellite and goes through a charade of 'discussing'. Subsequently he rushes to the vanni, greets, and embraces his revered friend, that homicidal manic, Velupillai Prabhakaran also popularly known as the drought God. Finally, he slips out of the bush and give his now standard press conference where his routine 'hyperbole' is presented. This goes as; he is on the brink of a break through in the peace process! The dim witted Sri Lankans are happily lulled back into yet another slumber. What has been accomplished while the pow-wow is on is, the Catholic racist terrorist Boss Prabhakaran has bumped off few more of his opposition, regrouped, bought arms, and moved his slaves into position, and generally prepare for the next terror onslaught. And we find that the Sri Lankan nit wits has been taken for yet another ride. Now they have come to realize what Solheim has really been peddling; certainly not peace, but facilitation of his terrorist friends gaining legitimacy and offering them a moratorium to strengthen themselves.

The 27th August 2006 issue of Divaina (The sinhala daily) reports that, Ambassadors of the 4 donor nations (Germany, American, Japanese and Norwegian) have had an interview with the Sri Lankan President. The Divaina reporter faithfully transcribed word for word the verbal exchange. And here we can decipher who is aiming for what:

President Mahinda Rajapakse: - So where is Erick Solheim now?
Mr.Hans Brattskar: - He is in South America, in Peru.
President Mahinda Rajapakse: - What is he doing in Peru? Can't you ask him to come over? He is Prabakran's friend. Couldn't you ask him to meet Prabakran and bring him back to the negotiating table?
Mr.Hans Brattskar (Side steps answering the question but instead) Aren't you going to stop attacking (LTTE positions in) Sampur?
President Mahinda Rajapakse: - What is it that you are requesting!!! Are you proposing that we hand over Sampur to tigers (terrorist)? It is from Sampur that they attacked Muttur, the Trinco Harbor, and the Navy battlements. Are you really asking us to hand over our areas to LTTE (terrorist) and just look up and wait? We have not started this you know, they have initiated these attacks. If you can, just prove otherwise."

Mr.Hans Brattskar overbearing attitude towards the President of the Sri Lankan nation, speaks volumes.

I remember after the Oslo conference of WAPS (8th Sep. 2004) (Solheim avoided the conference like a plague), we were summoned to a meeting, (that is Mahindapala, Ranjith Soysa and your truly), to the foreign office.

At that encounter, I queried from Solheim that he insists Milosevic be prosecuted for his human rights violations. Indeed I pointed out; he is a leader of the Serbian state and chosen by its people. What's more, he has not bumped off Prime Ministers and Presidents unlike Prabakran, so why not his friend Prabakran the mass murderer also brought to justice. That riled him, for he replied in that case we can go to war with LTTE. At that point, Mahindapala stopped me from posing the next question. Which was; NATO, USA and complete international community attached Serbia!

Now we find that Solheim has put his foot in his mouth again. Without consulting the Sri Lankan Government, he has announced in Brussels that, "We will have the talks in the first week of October in Oslo". "For", he went on to declare 'Sri Lanka had agreed to the talks without any preconditions in the Norwegian capital.
A blatant lie if their was one! Sri Lankan authorities indignant by Solheims high handed manner, summoned the Norwegian Ambassador forthwith and demanded an explanation from Hans Brattskar, as to Why did they had not observed the elementary duty of consulting the GoSL before announcing a date and a venue for the next meeting?
I can hazard a guess as to Solheim's hastiness. He panicked by the prospect of his terrorist pals being over run and eliminated by the Sri Lankan army. He needed a rouse to halt the military advance. Hence this unsolicited declaration on behalf of his terrorist friends for holding unconditional talks. If we take the logic a little bit further, we can deduce the repercussion if the terror organisation LTTE happen to be wiped out. Naturally it would lead to the collapse of the 'peace industry' which UD finances, and also crumble UD's artificial power in the island.
Presently Col.A.S.Amarasekera presents a disturbing piece of intelligence in the 'Sunday Times' (20th August2006) concerning Jon Westborg's extracurricular activities in Sri Lanka.
Amarasekera writes and I quote "The Dollar, Kent, Ceylon Theater Farm etc owned by these Tamil entrepreneurs was on this massive stretch of land in this strategic area of Weli Oya that linked the Northern Province to the Eastern Province. The Indian Tamil families were settled in this strategic area to establish a continuous land mass inhabited by Tamils, between the Northern Province and the Eastern Province. The funding for this surreptitious effort I was told by the Minister was made available through Redd Barna and its chief executive officer was none other than Mr. Jon Westborg, who later became the ambassador for Norway in Sri Lanka."

I have already brought to the Norwegian public's notice in an earlier issue of NY Tid how His Excellency Jon Westborg organised the transfer of sensitive electronic equipment to terrorist, and made payments on behalf of the terrorists using Norwegian Taxpayer's money. When we compound these facts a shocking picture emerges; Ambassador Jon Westborg has not really represented Norway, but in reality has been the standing Ambassador of the terror organisation LTTE, in Colombo.

For we find Sri Lankan Quislings such as earlier Prime Minster Ranil Wickramasinghe and former President Chandrika Kumaratunge, more 'quisling' than Quisling! Norway was occupied by Nazi Germany and the front man Vidum Quisling was appointed by Hitler. In fact Hitler could have appointed any Tom, Dick or Harry for the job. But our Quislings were voted in by the people and they betrayed them outright in order to pocket the Nobel Peace prize. Indeed Norwegians executed their Quisling after the war, which is not a bad example to follow. That's how His Excellency Jon Westborg managed to creep in as the Norwegian representative in Sri Lanka.

Natives in Sri Lanka are under an illusion that Norway is keen to destroy their nation. But the Norwegian public is as ignorant of what is taking place just as much as the Sri Lankans. For the Norwegian media avoids reporting anything purporting to be negative to UD vis-â-vis Sri Lanka.

In order to pin down the shadowy actors of this terror game, we have to peep into history. A closer investigation shows that Erik Solheim is nothing but a proxy and a front figure. He is devoid of insight or knowledge to execute this job. Offhand we can home in on some of the true initiators of Norway's involvement with terrorist; Arne fjørtoft, Jon Westborg, Vidar Helgesen and the earlier Christian priest and Prime Minster Kjell Magne Bondevik.

There is a more subtle and a hidden connection. Jaffna Tamil Catholic Church starting early 80ies managed to coax the Lutheran Christians, that the Godless Sinhalese Buddhist Chauvinist are discriminating them and denying them their basic rights. Indeed to the world at large the Church has shown that this a purely a racial and an ethnic conflict, and something to do with rights, while covertly it was waging a holy war against Buddhist and Hindus by other means which is not hard to document.

Sri Lankan nation is well informed of the above fact. Above all, they have come round to the opinion that they have to fight their own battles. In fact President Mahinda Rajapakse would meet the same ignoramus fate as Ranil and Chandrika faced, if he allows himself to be hoodwinked by "facilitators of UD bearing gifts".
