What are the areas of discriminations committed
against the Tamil people by the Sri Lanka Governments -dominated by
majority Sinhala ?

The foreign Media Associated Press, Agence France Press, Reuters in
their reports on Sri Lanka, refers to: Sri Lanka Government- dominated
by majority Sinhala, and B.B.C- Sri Lanka- a majority Sinhalese Nation.
They try to make out that Sri Lanka Government is the worst government
in the world, dominated by a most reactionary, intolerant, visious,
cruel, majority, the Sinhala. When they refer to France, India, England
they do not refer to the majority these governments represent. So why
cannot these foreign media Agencies merely refer to the Government of
Sri Lanka without the addendum, majority Sinhala? It is not a sin that
the Sinhalese are the majority ? The reports themselves are twisted-Police
shoot 14 civilians, instead of saying 14 civilians were wounded in police
shooting, and Muslim Families Flee Homes in Eastern Sri Lanka.
The foreign media makes out that it is the Sinhala majority that discriminates
against the Tamils. But they do not give examples of the specific grounds
on which the Sri Lanka government could be accused of discriminations
against the minority communities. This is despite the fact, that the
Government of Sri Lanka, has members of the minority communities among
its Cabinet of Ministers.
If it is pointed out that employment, and economy are the areas where
discrimination exist, it is wrong, because these are problems common
to all communities the Sinhala, Tamil, Muslim and others. If it is Social
or Cultural problems, they are also common problems and could be easily
settled by discussions with the government.
What then are the problems that the Government had refused to take
up with the Tamil Community ? No body, the Foreign Media, Sri Lanka
Human Rights Activists, or the anti-war camp has pointed out where the
Government has intentionally refused to solve specific problems of the
Tamil people.
Only problem the Tamil groups talk about is devolution of political
power . If they are made out as the problems not attended to by the
Sri Lanka ;Sinhala majority Government. It cannot be made out to be
a discrimination against the Tamil people. Because the changes to a
political system or a constitution concerns every community Sinhala,
Tamil, Muslim and others.
Therefore, in reality the Sri Lanka Government-with a Sinhala majority
has no problem with the Tamils, Muslims or others. These unnamed problems
are exaggerated internal problems common to all communities created
to satisfy the International Community to enable them to interfere into
the process of development of Sri Lanka, enabling thousands of foreign
NGO cronies to share the billions of dollars donated by generous sympathetic
citizens of Europe and America. The NGOs live in luxury without having
done much to ameliorate the conditions of living, of the tsunami affected
people.
A construction of a modest house would cost about ten thousand dollars.
At that rate with the vast sums of donations received which were unfortuntely
channelled through NGOs as the governments of those countries did not
trust the Sri Lanka Government with such vast resources, every family
affected by tsunami should have been provided with houses, and the transport
infra structure and the improvements to the environment should have
been completed.
Then why have we got to negotiate with terrorists, ethnic problems
that do not exist with the Sinhala Majority Government, and ordinary
Tamil people.
