Deception the name of the game of TigersSunil Vijayapala Oxley, Australia
How credible were these so called eye witnesses ? Couldnt these be really either Tiger supporters, or pawns confessing through fear of tiger reprisal. His visit was a grand plan worked out by Tiger lobby abroad, a gamble GoSL took and unfortunately lost. Background of westerners, assigned to our ethnic issue, be it SLMM personnel, need to be scrutinised prior to issuing visas, so that fools such as Rock could be properly screened. Its amazing how this fool was convincingly deceived by Tigers with just a few auditions with Tamil people and with a couple of days roaming in East and North. Surely, the SLMM would have known about this bizarre recruitment, and alerted the government, before the arrival of this representative of UN? Hypothetically, will this fool hand over a damning report against the Jews if he is assigned on a similar mission to Lebanon or Gaza Strip? No, ABSOLUTELY NOT, the only reason which did warrant his action was that Sri Lankan stands as a subservient, weak country in the world community and we lack political clout over UN or any other world body, even to seek a top post. The Indians too have suddenly beginning to sympathise with Tigers since the political equation and balance have changed in the South and politics means votes, in this world of corruption. The atrocities and murders committed by Tigers fail to hit the headlines in the world media as the degree of sensationalism is less than an unfortunate attack by the Armed forces in Sri Lanka, and had been the case for the last two decades. One other intriguing fact is how investigative journalism, on murders die down in Sri Lanka within a short time. Kadirgamas death is just history, with no investigation going into completion nabbing the culprits. The attempt on Fonsekas life was another and nothing is heard in the media after few weeks, and would be the case with Ravirajs murder. The media is just waiting to report the next victim of Tigers and this pattern of reporting on investigation will too end prematurely. Smuggling arms to the North could also being executed on a grand plan, where the Tigers initiates an attack on a Navy convoy, divert the attention on the attack, and quietly smuggle weapons to some designated area. We have been fooled by the tigers for far too long and hence we need to be far more vigilant and tactful dealing with them. Another disturbing development could be the South Indian government apparently supplying arms to Tigers(?), as their brethren gets a hammering from our valiant forces. The greatest danger is, will this conflict eventually internationalise, with Indians, although reluctantly, supporting the Tigers and probably Pakistan coming to our aid and will that conflict stop there? On a lighter note alas! the most famous Indian astrologers predictions, few months ago, about Mahinda and Prabah, after all, tuned out to be full of sham and may be an astrologer too is entitled for a second opinion! |
