His Eminence Cardinal George Pell His Excellency the Apostolic Nuncio, Catholic Archbishop of Sydney Apostolic Nunciature Your Excellencies, Can you explain to the Sinhala Catholic community how the Catholic Church deemed it necessary to appoint three Arch Bishops to Sri Lanka. Rt.Rev Oswald Gomis, a Sinhala as Arch Bishop of Colombo, Thomas Soundaranayagam as Arch Bishop of Jaffna and Rayappu Joseph as Arch Bishop of Mannar. Are the appointments made on the basis of the number of devotees, areas or on what basis? How do you appoint people who support, cyanide necklaced suicide bombing murderous terrorists as Bishops of the Catholic Church? How can any Sri Lankan Catholic respect these two and other clerics, who are nothing but terrorist stooges. When the late Cardinal Cooray, was responsible for the Catholic clergy and their actions in Sri Lanka, they were under strict instructions and guidance not to get involved in political affairs in the country. Today the Catholic Tamil clergy under people like Soundaranayagam and Rayappu have brought the Catholic Church, to ridicule and disrepute by their open support for terrorists and terrorism. It is time you instruct them to shut up and practice Christianity as clergymen or leave the sacred vestments and become full time political stooges of terrorists. Rayappu has the affront to send a letter, to your Excellencies, with a request that it be forwarded to the Holy See, Rome titled ""Shedding of innocent blood in St. Mary’s Church, Pesalai in the island of Mannar. Did Rayappu witness the Navy personnel setting fire to the cadjan huts? The eye witnesses are terrorist supporters or others who may have obeyed the orders of terrorists. Rayappu himself is quite aware of the fate of the so called informants, and the plight of innocent people at the hands of terrorists. As usual, it is possible for tiger terrorists to burn the cadjan sheds to frighten and attract sympathy from the international community especially given prominence to the propaganda by people like him. Rayappu seems to have forgotten the word "alleged", or is it not clear that he too is a terrorist stooge. Rayappu have said "the SL Navy and the SL Army, very unrealistically expect that the ordinary civilians should give them information about the presence and plans of the LTTE". The Armed forces are aware that the civilians cannot give them plans of the LTTE but they can definitely give them information. Rayappu and the Pesalai villagers were aware that suicide bombing terrorists were hiding in the area. Rayappu, and other LTTE stooges should have asked the terrorists to vacate the areas and ensure that they do not attack GOSL armed forces from areas adjacent. Does Rayappu expect the GOSL forces, to lay down their weapons and get slaughtered by the murderous vermin? Rayappu should understand that war is ugly, any human is apprehensive in combat and that in situations of kill or be killed, mistakes can easily be made. It does not only happen with GOSL armed forces personnel but any armed force personnel in the world. These armed forces personnel maybe Sinhala but they are human beings from God fearing families, with parents, sisters, brothers, wives and children. They are not there not because they love to hurt and kill people, they are there to safeguard the people of Sri Lanka, from terrorist vermin that plague the Sri Lankan society and in the process earn a living. Rayappu, on the other hand the LTTE terrorist scum are programmed to murder and commit suicide. They have no regard to human life. They commit murder on the word of a megalomaniac that their kith and kin will be looked after by this barbaric mob from the ill gotten gains from all types of nefarious activities. Rayappu, is not worthy of the sacred vestments, he wears, as he too is guilty of all these acts by association. Rayappu, displays his prejudice when he makes silly statements. Can Rayappu tell how many Sinhala people are there in the Maniacs terror brigades? Any security force in the world, is made up entirely or from the majority people of that country. There are no restrictions for Tamil people to join the armed forces in Sri Lanka. Any Sri Lankan, Sinhala, Tamil, Muslim or Burgher who is qualified and prepared to take the oath of allegiance to the mother land and carry out duties expected of them in the armed forces are able to apply. The Tamils in Sri Lanka must accept that 95% of the Security Forces is made up of Sinhala people. Can Rayappu give some valid reason, why recruitment to the armed forces or any services, positive discrimination or preference must be made for people from the Tamil minority? What is so special about the Tamil minority in Sri Lanka to that of other minorities in other countries of the world? There are thousands of Sri Lankan Tamils [more than 50% of the Tamil community of Sri lanka] living in Colombo and the south. If as Rayappu says the armed forces are prejudiced heavily against the Tamil people how do they live, work and blend so comfortably with the Sinhala community in Colombo and other areas. The present security checks and disruptions these Tamil people undergo are due to the terrorist menace. Rayappu, there is a different SL armed force from heaven in Colombo! Rayappu how many Sinhalese, Muslims live in Mannar and Jaffna? Is it not your terrorist brothers who carried out ethnic cleansing, and where was your voice in protest and condemnation? It is Rayappu, and other clergy who should squarely face the truth that is staring them in the face, to prevent violence and counter violence against Tamil or Sinhala speaking people of Sri Lanka. Rayappu and other clergy should give the lead by openly speaking out against the LTTE terrorists. Without praying "Lord, forgive them for they do not know what they do" and hoping that the maniac murderer and suicide bombers hiding in the Wanni jungles and amongst Tamil civilians have repented for their sins. Rayappu & Soundaranayagam and others must condemn the actions of this murderous bunch of brigands and ask them to lay down their weapons. Is suicide, human trafficking, drug peddling, child recruitment, fraud etc. acceptable to Rayappu and his clergy? Does Rayappu & Soundaranayagam bless the suicide bombing murderers after their last meal with the despot maniac? What about giving the last rites of the church to the so called "martyr’s" terrorist murderers? Rayappu you state that innocent Tamils are frightened by LTTE threats. Consider the number of educated, intellectual, hardworking Tamils of prominence who have been murdered by these bloodthirsty animals. They were murdered because they had the courage, honesty, guts and determination to openly speak out against terrorists and terrorism. Why are the LTTE terrorists not targeting you or other Tamil clergy? It is because you have become stooges of the maniac? Tamil Catholic clergymen have not had the courage, honesty, guts and determination to openly speak out against terrorists and terrorism in the last two decades? Rayappu says that the Church of Our Lady of Victory at Pesalai has been desecrated by the shedding of innocent blood by the unjust aggressors, of the SL Navy. Rayappu, shedding blood in a church or in a toilet does not make a difference - murder is murder wherever it is committed. It is Tamil clergymen like you, who are part and parcel of LTTE terrorists, who are the cause of the blood letting. One of your clergy, Roman Catholic Father S J Emmanuel in Jaffna compared the lowly murderous swine LTTE leader, Prabakaran to Jesus Christ. This is sacrilege. He called this "remorseless megalomaniac " a freedom fighter who has given the leadership to a movement committed to setting up the homeland to Tamil Eelam so that oppressed Tamil people could be saved from the chauvinist Sinhala regime’. Many Tamil clergymen have been apprehended by the security authorities whilst smuggling illegal items to LTTE terrorists. The GOSL authorities have always, played down these lowly activities in safeguarding and fostering religious harmony among Sri Lankans. Rayappu you should call days of penance and prayer and have purification ceremonies everyday to bless yourself and other hypocrites, who have desecrated and brought disrepute to the Catholic Church in Sri Lanka. In the broader perspective if Rayappu’s are to help in addressing the very explosive situation in Sri Lanka, 01. Get his murderous LTTE brethren to immediately lay down their weapons with no loss of time and bring to halt all types of killings and murders. [The armed forces, the alleged aggressor, will not have to attack or defend themselves or anyone] 02. Understand that the Ceasefire Agreement (CFA) is against the Sri Lankan constitution and that he cannot equate a bunch of suicide bombing murderers led by a megalomaniac dictator to the democratically elected government of a sovereign state. 03. Get the terrorists to openly reject terrorism in all its forms and appearances, with no loss of time. 04. he prides himself a doctor of theology, even any idiot can understand that there can be no equality of partnership between a bunch of vermin and an elected government of a sovereign state. President Rajapakse was too magnanimous in meeting Rayappu & Soundaranayagam. His advisers should have told him that His Excellency the Apostolic Nuncio, and Rt. Rev Oswald Gomis, the Arch Bishop is there to discuss matters that affect the Catholic Church in Sri Lanka. These too terrorist goons should have been thrown out by the scruff of their necks.
