WHY DO THESE YOUNG MEN & WOMEN DIE?

All of us borne to this world are destined to die.
That is why we say the death is inevitable. But take a good look at these pictures. Who wants to die in this manner? Can we not stop the deaths of these young men and women? Who are the perpetrators?

Looking at these pictures I get to a sort of trance where I imagine the childhood of these young men and women. How their parents must have cuddled them? How happy those parents must have been the day each one of them was borne? Could those parents have ever expected, one day in their early adulthood, they would die a cruel death?

Then anger seeps in followed by many more questions.Why they had to die in this manner. Who are responsible? Many would say the Sri Lankan Government and its armed forces are responsible. Some would say it is the LTTE. But, I neither blame the GoSL nor the LTTE, but definitely the ‘Tamil Diaspora’. Each and everyone who raises funds and makes donations to support the LTTE are the actual culprits. It is to those I point the accusing finger at.

For whatever the reason you have opted to live abroad, please stop funding the LTTE. By funding the LTTE, you are killing your own people. You may have experienced a heavy hand of the security forces when you lived in Sri Lanka or might have harassed by some other elements in the society. But whatever it is, it does not justify anyone of you to raise funds and to make any form of donations to keep a cruel, deadly organization alive which is bringing deaths to these young men and women. How many more should die?

The time has come to bring an end to the suffering of the people particularly those who live in the North and the East. It is time to reconcile and come to a peaceful settlement. The problem in Sri Lanka has become known to the whole world and as a result the Sinhalese government in the south will be compelled to devolve power, no matter how strong and hard the nationalists parties oppose.

Unfortunately the LTTE leadership is blind to this reality. Mr. V. Pirabhakaran is in a deep sleep where he dreams nothing but a separate state. He will not see the reality, as long as he receives your funds. He doesn’t give a damn who dies, who suffers and who weeps. So jolt him awake and make him see the reality.

Only the Tamil Diaspora can do it by stop funding and providing of any form of donations to the LTTE.
