First Suicide Bombers - now Light Aircraft Flying Bombers - Terrorism is on the mend in Sri Lanka

The LTTE terrorists who were trained and equipped under the aegis of Indira Ghandi perfected the suicide bomber. They tested one of the first such suicide bombers on her son and heir to the Nehru dynasty - Rajiv Ghandi. Osama bin Laden the Americans trained to get even with the Soviets came back in the form of September 11th.

The LTTE the terrorist organization India helped midwife to life and the Developed World together with the Christian Church that helped through its adolescence to manhood with scholarship and funding is now a global terrorist network. It is capable of franchising their know how to other budding terrorist organizations around the world. This they have done so successfully that suicide bombers are dime a dozen in the Middle East and elsewhere.

Today LTTE is perfecting the Light Aircraft Flying Bombers with the help of the former Apartheid Boers in South Africa. They have received training and perhaps bought the hardware too from the same country - South Africa. India wanted to teach a lesson to Sri Lanka. South Africa of Nelson Mandela is romanticizing the LTTE as actual Freedom Fighters because it is their background consciousness. . It takes no great vision to envisage the day when the Light Aircraft Flying Bomber too will be perfected by the LTTE to create havoc in the rest of the world. They are now only taking practice runs over the beleaguered nation of Sri Lanka creating economic havoc.

According to experts these light aircrafts can easily be dismantled and transported without leaving suspicious footprints of their movement across borders. They also can be fuelled by a variety of fuels including readily available diesel. They can take off and land on dirt tracks leave alone well paved highways found all over the world. They can be hidden in any unsuspecting garage till they are carted away for business from an impoverished runway. They hardly leave a signature on the type of Radar screens the great benefactor and big brother India has provided Sri Lanka "so freely and so generously".

It is high time that India and other Western Countries take due notice of this new development and take prompt action to reign in the LTTE for their own good and safety if not for the misery it has helped cause in Sri Lanka. So far they have taken only cosmetic action in their respective countries in this regard.

Dissension is all over the civilized world. Terrorism should not be a means to achieve redemption for reasons leading to such dissension. In the case of the LTTE and their supporting Ealamists grievances were upgraded to aspirations. Call for land grabbing and ethnic cleansing is euphemistically called fighting for traditional homelands. In this world we see what we want to see, hear what we want to hear and feel what we want to feel. And the reverse is also true. The so called first and the developed world together with the evangelizing Christian Church do not want to see the progress the countries like Sri Lanka has made in their march towards democracy and human rights. They only want to hear bad news from such countries; hence the need for the Biased Broadcasting Corporation and other similar cheap harbingers of bad news all over the world. They are all ready to equate Sri Lanka with the Tiger Terrorists in all their dealings for a measly and unethical news rating. Fortunately some countries have started to see the light and this trend is on the mend now; they are seeing the LTTE for what they are - unrepentant terrorists!

The news of the trial of London bombings show that the bombings were preventable. The British High Commissioner is more worried about freedom of the press in Sri Lanka than on her struggle against terrorism. Australia has arrested two LTTE terrorists on suspected terrorism charges. Across the Tasman sea in New Zealand - Green Party et al are godfathering and romanticizing the LTTE as freedom fighters. They are so far away from reality the current debate in the country is in the nether world of smacking children, a bad habit the White Christians gave to the Maori!

Achieving the high ideals of democracy and human rights is a process which can only be perfected over time. Applying the same yard stick to cash strapped developing countries that are fighting terrorism in their soil is not the way to fight terrorism. It is blatant hypocrisy in the light of happenings in Guantanamo Bay and Abu Ghraib. According to the former director of the CIA - George Tenet when required they simply find a different word for it. Civilian casualties are 'collateral damage' and torture is 'enhanced interrogation'. Leave the façade, in a bad situation in the real world it is not possible to avoid civilian casualties nor some form of torture to extract information.

Countries like Sri Lanka need all the support and encouragement to eradicate terrorism in that country. Sri Lanka was the first ground zero for suicide bombers and now it is becoming the testing ground for first light aircraft bombing! World beware otherwise you will be next on line. When the LTTE terrorist bombed the Colombo World Trade Centre did any one think that the next would be New York World Trade Centre?

With terrorism it is either you are for it or not - there are no grey areas nor middle ground. The means the terrorists employ to gain their goals is not acceptable in the civilized world. Let those affected find other more acceptable means to address their grievances and achieve their aspirations! Terrorism is a deadly viral plague. Like smallpox and black death, global terrorism should be condemned wherever it is spawned and destroyed wherever it is found. The first viral agent they franchised was the suicide bomber jacket. Now it is the Light Aircraft Bomber. We invite the world to join Sri Lanka to make LTTE terrorism history!
