S.P.ThamilselvanAsoka Weerasinghe OttawaNovember 5, 2007
As a Liberal MP you certainly seem to have got off the gate first to
express your *distress at the news of the death of Mr. S.P. This statement shows what a great country that we both share, where freedom of speech would allow you to cry on cue on the death of a Tamil Tiger terrorist who was responsible for the killing of thousands of innocent Sinhalese and Muslim civilians, 31 politicians like you, and also the leaders of the other rival terrorist groups that the Tamil Tigers found were a threat, like TELO (Sri Sabaratnam), EPRLF (Padmanabha), PLOTE (Uma Maheswaran) and the leader of the Opposition party (A.Amirthalingham) all Tamils like Tamilselvam. I suppose your heart wouldnt permit you to cry for them, even on cue, in case you lose thousands of Eelamist-Tamil votes in your riding. I understand your predicament as that is how the political-cookie crumbles in Canada. What was funny about your statement of condolence was that it reminded me of the cheap Made in China, Dolorama doll, which cries on cue squeeze its bottom and a tear squirts out. Where was your voice, where was your statement of concern and condolence, to be precise where on earth were you Jim, when a Tamilselvans cronies killed Sri Lankas Foreign Minister Lakshman Kadiragama, a Tamil, with a sniper bullet, a couple of years ago? It was obvious that there was no one to squeeze the bottom of the crying doll to squirt a tear on cue. That is where you Liberals honesty fail me. *In January 2005, following the Tsunami, I visited Sri Lanka
and had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Thamilselvan. He expressed
thanks to Canadians for their magnanimous generosity in a time of great
need,* You write in your condolence statement that *Mr. Thamilselvan devoted more than a decade to the pursuit of peace, with justice, to bring an end to the protracted civil war in* *Sri Lanka**.* What nonsense! What a bunch of Keftethes! Stop continuing to be a joker, Jim. Here is the dope on S.P. Thamilselvan. He was not much different from
his weapon carrying Tamil Tigers and Tigresses who are actively engaged
in killing sprees for the want of their mono-ethnic, racist, separate
Tamil state, Eelam. He was no Dove of Peace that you emulate him to
be. Thamilselvan, the terrorist whose death made you shed a tear or two, played a pivotal role in a number of attacks killing thousands of innocent civilians as well as the armed forces including the recent assaults on Kilaly, Muhamalai and Nagarkovil Forward Defence Lines. He was the mastermind in many of these attacks. He was spoiling for a fight and we all know that death looms in such activities. When you live by the bomb, you die by the bomb. That happens to be the natural progression in the theatre of war. He escaped death twice with injuries during the Kilaly operation in
October 1993 and the counter attack on the Yaldevi operations. It is
said that he also played a prominent role in the Elephant Pass debacle
His military experience combined with terrorist tactics dates back
to Oh, sure, he went for these peace negotiations abroad facilitated by
the Norwegian government. He and the rest of the Tamil Tigers fooled
you every step of the way, each time they went abroad in the guise of
attending peace talks. The Tamil Tigers used these visits
as the best chances awarded to them by the Norwegians for the procurement
of weapons and funds. Thamilselvan and is military buddies were smart
and they did make you peaceniks, and especially the Norwegians look
like a bunch of fools. Every step of the way they thumbed their noses
at you. At the Geneva summit in 2005, when the Sri Lankan Government
was prepared to discuss core issues that made them resort to arms, the
Tamil Tigers led by Thamilselvan changed their attitude and adopted
delaying tactics. With this backdrop Jim, I wont be surprised if you would hear the haunting creepy-strains of Thamilselvans brave song in your dreams sung to the lilt of Dont cry for me Argentina .. Dont cry for me Liberals Canada Asoka Weerasinghe
