Shenali Waduge has written an article, "They hypocrisy of Buddhist
Sermons"

Buddhist Clergy has been preaching for many centuries, their advice
has been invaluable to the layman.
The human mind is very fickle and can get easily carried away towards
what the eye can see.
The Buddhist way is to control the desire and avoid problems later.
If you cannot control yourself you can get into various problems. In
modern day, finance is the major problem and Buddhist Clergy definitely
dwell on this. If Shenali Waduge has the courage to go to Church on
a Sunday she will find that the sermons in Church is also dwelling on
ways to avoid waste one's hard earned resources
There has been a concerted effort in recent years to undermine, Buddhism
and the Sinhela Nation.
The perpetrators intentions are to eradicate Buddhism from the face
of this earth. Buddhist Philosophy has never been a threat to anyone
or any religion, yet those who believe in a 'All powerful and Supernatural
God' is more worried about the simple 'Truth' that Lord Buddha preached
over 2500 years ago.
They should be worried about those religions, whose leaders have gone
on the rampage converting and killing millions and millions of innocent
men, women and children for many centuries.
The hatred towards Buddhism is apparent in the way these voices broadcast
rumours, untruths and other derogatory remarks about the Buddhist Clergy.
In the process the Sinhela Nation is also tarnished with the same brush
simply because they Venerate and uphold Buddhist values. Buddhism in
its original form is flourishing in Sri Lanka. Three hundred or more
years of foreign rule could not wipe out this 'Truth' from the minds
of the inhabitants.
The Clergy, in all religions are human beings; some of them do succumb
to the natural desires. Shenali Waduge must know this from the fact
that the Christian Churches has to pay millions of dollars to claimants
for the nefarious activities of their Priests
