Are the Lawyers of New Jersey
the voice of the Tamil Sangam ?
(Violation of Human rights has become a means to interfere with Sovereign
States).
By Charles Perera
38 Lawyers lead by New Jersey House Representative Rush Holt wants
George Bush to appoint a peace envoy to Sri Lanka to survey Human
Rights Violations. New Jersey is apparently where the Tamil Sangam
Head Quarters is based.
One begins to wonder why all these interfering peace mongers, who
were not heard of when under the cover of an illegal CFA the LTTE
terrorists went on a rampage of killing, torturing, mutilating, committing
extortion, and kidnapping, are popping up their heads now from all
quarters just when the Government of Sri Lanka with the Security Forces
is finding its way to end terrorism.
It was some time back the Association of Lawyers of India, came out
in defence of the terrorists on another similar issue , and now the
New Jersey Lawyers are prepared to leave aside their legal work which
perhaps does not provide enough financial benefits, to look into the
question of Human Rights Violation in Sri Lanka. Who finances them
for the role they wish to undertake , is any bodys guess.
Yesterday Cindy Sheehan- the Peace Mom- the nightmare of George Bush,
was seen in a TV Programme in France, accusing George Bush of sending
to death American Youth to Iraq for an unwanted war. She said ever
since she started her campaign against sending American Youth to fight
in Iraq she has been called by all types of names, and finally a mad
woman. When she was asked how is it that if Mr. Bush is unpopular,
he was elected twice as the President of America, she said that their
was no popular election as all methods of election frauds were made
to have him elected.
These New Jersey legal luminaries have other matters to keep them
occupied, such as finding defects of the Bush Administration, and
looking into violation of human rights by the American Army in Iraq,
the appointments wrong people to International Organisations, and
legality of continuing to send American youth to Iraq, among other
things rather than interfere into affairs of Sri Lanka, which we can
manage on our own.
The continuing trade embargo against Cuba itself is a violation of
human rights. Cuban government wants to exist like any other government
. Why dont the New Jersey legal men survey the cases of violation
of human rights by the Bush administration, and leave Sri Lanka to
manage its own affairs ?
After the controversial Mr.Bolton, appointed as American Representative
to the UNO, George Bush, sent Peter Smith to the UNESCO, he is presently
the Deputy Director General for Education, now in the midst of a
investigations for an alleged payment of US$ 2.14 million of UNESCO
fund
to a Washington Based Company, without consulting the Executive Board
or the Director General of the Organisation.
These are matters well worth receiving the attention of these legal
men of New Jersey without coming forward to defend the violation of
the human right of the terrorists, to terrorise their fellow citizens.
That is in fact what you are coming forward to do perhaps paid for
by the Tamil Sangam in New Jersey.
