Defence Spokesman Keheliya Rambukwella on Monday said "The security forces will liberate the North and the East from the LTTE and hand back to the people who originally lived there. The minister said Sampur is a classic example "we liberated the area and resettled the inhabitants who were originally there and majority were Tamils.

Answering to a question whether government is not violating the CFA the Minister said "The LTTE has violated it over 8,000 times and if they threaten the sovereignty of the nation with their terrorist activities we as a responsiblwe government will not hesitate to react. Asked whether the government does want to come to the negotiating table with the LTTE he said "If the LTTE stops its atrocities we will consider it."

Security forces are doing the same thing in Vakare as well. The civilians are no longer tolerate the terror of Prabhakaran and the Tigers. For the first time the civilians are fleeng from the clutches of the Tigers in large numbers and moving to the safety of areas where there are Security Forces camps . Majority of them are Tamils and over 31,000 people have already taken refuge in the government contrlled areas he said.

Prabhakaran who is fighting a futile war has been taken by surprise by this human exodus from the LTTE controlled asreas to the safety of government controlled areas .The Minister said now he is trying hard to create a communal backlash in the South by triggering bombs in predominantly Sinhala areas. But people living in these areas are acting with restraint through their own kith and kin have been killed by the acts of terror by the murderous LTTE.

The Tigers have taken the government both at the Oslo and the Geneva talks for a ride reneging on their promises.
