DEFEAT ALL ATTEMPTS TO PRESENT TAMILSELVAN AS A PEACE DOVE

Print and electronic media continue to carry out much reports and comments about the terrorist Tamilselvan since the day he was bombed and killed by the airforce jets. Bizarre attempts are being made by the dollar slavish treacherous peace merchants and political hypocrites to present the dead terrorist as a peace dove, the humanitarian face of the terrorist outfit and his death as a setback for peace in Sri Lanka despite the fact that the dead terrorist was the most arrogant personality of the terrorist outfit who continued to threaten “drastic consequences and punishments” for the Sri Lankan nation and its population at each and every turn of event, meeting with foreign personalities and even at the so-called peace parleys. He was the mouthpiece of the megalomaniac terrorist leader. He was fully committed to implementing the last annual message of his leader that “the dual war and peace approach is fundamentally flawed, and it has left the Tamils with only one option, political independence and statehood for the people of Tamil Eelam

The leading benefactor of the Tamil terrorists and the Principal Tamil chauvinist in the world, Karunanidhi’s eulogy that "You had the strength of meeting the opposition with a smiling face” clearly describes the hypocrisy this terrorist carried out to deceive the outsiders, especially the gullible international community to achieve the objective of segregating Sri Lanka, and help establish the foothold in Sri Lanka for the global racist Tamil empire being envisaged by Tamil Nadu racists.

The dead terrorists arrogant statements made at Geneva Talks last year is known to everyone and he was solely responsible for collapse of these talks. He always attempted to establish an equal status for the terrorist outfit with the Sri Lankan government and thinking himself as an equivalent of a government Minister refused to negotiate with the Sri Lankan delegation at the last Geneva talks. His enormous threat of colossal destruction of Sri Lanka and threat to destroy economic targets and force Sri Lankans to suffer even surpassed the threats being made by terrorist leaders such as Ossama Bin Laden.

With the death of this terrorist, many political opportunists attempted to frighten the masses that attacks on economic targets and chaos at places of popular gatherings can be expected in the South in vengeance from the terrorist outfit, as the dead terrorist had threatened several times of such punishments. One anti-government rag sheet even ventured to the extent of happily citing the isolated incident off Tissamaharama as the beginning of such terrorist backlash. At the same time some anti-government and unpatriotic elements, in the ilk of idiots who claim that any bull could fight a war and who are reluctant to appreciate gallantry of our security forces, even attempted to present fancy theories that the dead terrorist was not killed by the security forces but the death was caused due to some other reasons. They deliberately presented such stupid conjectures despite at least two previous attempts by the security forces to destroy this terrorist in the recent past were unsuccessful.

The claim made by the Defense Secretary Mr. Gotabhaya Rajapakse in a recent TV interview that security forces have identified the important terrorist targets and they will be destroyed one by one have been proved right by the precise targeting of the Tamilselvan’s location which is reported to be the ‘operations planning unit’ of the terrorist outfit. He was reported to be planning on this day to launch a major operation against the Sri Lankan forces.

The dollar hungry peace merchants, the political opportunists and the terrorists elements in the Tamil diaspora whose only expectation is the continuation of the terrorist menace devastating our country, as it has become their lifeblood and source off sustenance, is making drastic efforts to portray the killing of Tamilselvan as a major setback for the so-called peace process and drum up support against the Sri Lanakan government. These anti-Sri Lankan elements have taken the lead from the statement made by the megalomaniac terrorist leader that 'Sinhala nation has killed our dove of peace' and attempt to portray the dead terrorist as a peace dove and Sri Lanka made a great crime by killing him.

The terrorist leader has well understood the imminent defeat his outfit is facing and is desperate in securing a respite as it secured many times in the past, so that they could replenish their losses and restrengthen their fighting capabilities using the sympathy that had been created by the racist Tamil Nadu politicians and their breed. The main objective of this exercise is to restrain the security forces in furthering their military advances.

This is the time that the security forces should intensify their combined land, sea and air attacks regardless of rigorous attempts being made by unpatriotic treacherous elements utilising the misguided and ignorant international forces. Sri Lanka has suffered untold hardships for the last three decades due to the terrorist menace and the international elements that interfered in the past did not provide any lasting solution and only helped to aggravate the situation. The Defence Secretary and the Security Forces should resist all such renewed efforts to cease the present operation and continue with the military operation until the terrorist menace is eradicated totally as it was successfully carried out in the Eastern Province.

A significant leverage for the current military operation is the huge allocation being made in the Budget for defence expenditure. It is a clear indication of the government’s firm commitment to end the terrorist menace, despite many hardships being faced by the country. If this expenditure is rightly utilized then it would certainly help alleviate over three decades of hardships being faced by this country as a result of the terrorist menace. It is the duty of all patriotic politicians to ensure the passage of the Budget, shunning all petty political agendas, as rejection of the much needed allocation for the defence expenditure will only help the terrorist to continue their strangulation of this country for many more years to come.

Let us forget all our petty differences and help by all means the gallant security forces to realize their determination of wiping out terrorism from the Sri Lankan soil.
