Attack on Katunayake Air force base

LTTE has shown that it is possible to develop a cheap system, that is capable of night flying, drop bombs reasonably accurately, and return to base. I think we should start our own academy, that will deal with aircraft design ,construction and maintenance.

This will enable us to modify existing technology and produce cheaper, affordable systems. What is needed is self belief, self respect and correct attitude to overcome problems. I do not think for one moment that we are less able than others who have the technology.

This will also remove our dependence on foreigners. Specially as oil is found in our shores, defence should be given top priority.

There may be many Sri Lankan youth, who are very keen to learn about planes and flying. So let us give opportunity to those keen youth, who may be able to contribute to the nation.
At the same time we should consider the security implications of all concerned.

Another option is to consider joint ventures with friendly countries such as China , India, Israel.
In this world, it is the survival of the fittest, and if we do not equip ourselves to compete and survive then, we will not survive.. So let us learn and equip ourselves to survive..

Attack on Katunayake, should be the equivalent of attack on Pearl Harbor, and we should react the same way as the Americans did.
