In the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, home to twenty million
people how many voiceless and unfortunate people of Sri Lanka do you
represent. - none.
You are nothing but a tiger in sheep’s clothing. You live safely
among the mainly Sinhala community, earning a public wage, security
provided by the government and have the audacity to criticise and slander
the same GOSL. Ganeshan, remember that there is no comparison between
GOSL and the LTTE. The GOSL is a democratically elected assembly of
the majority people of the country. The LTTE is a bunch of cyanide neck
laced suicide bombing terrorists led by a rabid despot maniac supported
by stooges like you.
LTTE terrorists are from the Tamil community. However 52% of the Tamil
community, including you live and physically exist among the Sinhala
and other communities in the South. You a Tamil have been elected a
member of the Colombo Municipal Council. How many Sinhala, Muslim people
have ever been elected to the Munciple Council of Jaffna? Are you implying
that the Sinhala and Muslim people have no right to their physical existences
in the North and Jaffna, in their own country? Is this a right preserved
for the privileged Tamil minority?
As in any part of the world dealing with terrorists and terrorism, there
are mishaps, and these have to be addressed. However most disappearances
are logical. How many Tamils languish in southern jails as they can’t
produce identity documents or because they fear to go back to areas
of conflict! Does the LTTE tell the truth about the cadres killed in
combat. You can have 101 institutions like (1) the Human Rights Commission
(2) Ministry of Human Rights (3) Ministerial Advisory Committee of prominent
persons (4) Mahanama Thilakaratne Commission (5) Special Presidential
Commission on selected 16 incidents (6) The IIGEP (7) Ministerial Committee
on Disappearances and (8) Civil Monitoring Commission. However have
you considered the thousands of illegal immigrants, who have been smuggled
abroad. Ganeshan can you confirm that all these Tamil emigrants registered
themselves at the Department of emigration in Sri Lanka, before disappearing
to find their economic fortunes abroad. It is just simply easier to
blame the GOSL. You talk of human rights defenders in the North and
East, what exactly have they done on child abduction, recruitment and
sending them as suicide bombers. Ganeshan, get the UN High Commissioner,
to conduct a investigation for a census on Tamil asylum seekers in Europe
and other countries, of course with the 'aliases' and false identities
they possess. This definitely will produce a result. At the moment those
abroad, just can’t go home. They have paid large sums to the LTTE
terrorists for their illegal passage abroad, they have pleaded asylum
in these countries and have no intentions of returning until they have
foreign passports. Ganeshan visit the immigration tribunals in the UK,
to hear the fables concocted by Tamil lawyers, defending Tamil asylum
seekers. If the conflict is settled, the grounds for asylum vanishes
so is it, not in the interest of the Tamil community to keep the conflict
dragging as long as they can.
Ganeshan, and his CMC should collect the names of all Tamil asylum seekers
domiciled in foreign countries. The majority have gone abroad, not with
passports issued by the Controller of Immigration and Emigration but
on forged passports. [LTTE are internationally known for their fraudulent
activities]. Ganeshan, it is surprising that you have not received one
of these forged passports. You appeal for a UN field presence in areas,
controlled by GoSL and LTTE. What right has the LTTE [a bunch of terrorists]
to control any area in Sri Lanka.
Ganeshan Sri Lankans can accept part of your dream "where there
are no places for war, abductions and extra legal killings but peace
and rule of law". The only area in Sri lanka, where ethnic hegemony
is practised is the North and in particular Jaffna. Because Sri Lankans
believe in freedom, people like you are allowed to have political office,
even in the Capital Colombo. The minority cannot dictate to the majority.
You are a CMC member because in the area you represent in Colombo, there
is a Tamil majority. What more power sharing do you want? Ganeshan,
name one ward or constituency in the North and Jaffna, where there is
a Sinhala, grama sevaka leave aside a municipal councillor. You can
forget about your myriad dreams of separate states even with the support
of the United Nations. The Sinhala and other communities of this land,
over 92% of the population will never ever allow the separation of this
nation. Ganeshan remember too, you are paid to work for the welfare
of the people in your ward in Colombo, not get on a propaganda bandwagon
supporting rabid terrorists.
