Call to Surrender to Fleeing LTTE Carders

The STF headquarters in a statement calls upon the LTTE carders who had fled the Defensive military operations in Kanchikudichchiaru and those who are forcibly detained by the LTTE, to surrender to the following STF camps, at Thirkkovil, Kanchanakuda, Sagama, Akkaraipatthu, Kannagipuram, Komari, Sangamankanda and Urani.

The STF guarantees full security for the surrendees and pledges facilities to ensure their welfare. Further the government will ensure their economic stability through a rehabilitation programme which is already under way.

LTTE carders who had surrendered earlier have been rehabilitated and some of them, were found local and overseas employment. Future surrendees too will receive these benefits.
