You heard Mother Lanka’s call
and you answered “Yes”
and you proudly wore the battle dress.
For the Lankans who live
you gave them all
that the Lion flag would never fall.

For all you brave men and women of the Army, Navy and Air Force, and those who have fallen, I salute my heroes, everyone of you from 15,000 miles away.
Thank you for defending the honour of Mother Lanka, yours and mine, from the scourge of Tamil terrorism. Bless you all.
