NORWEGIAN FOREIGN MINSTER JAN PETERSEN'S TERRORIST FRIEND IS IN A PICKLE

Gone are the days when even a sneeze of an LTTE terrorist would have been reported in the Norwegian media. For over two decades, LTTE terrorists' violent struggle to racially purify the North East of Sri Lanka and carve out a mono-ethnic ghetto called 'Elam' was intensely promoted in Norway. Ethnic cleansing and political assassinations was given a twisted interpretation by the reporters, distorting the Sri Lankan realities. Then in 2004, UD bureaucrat's tireless deliberations paid off. That's when the Norwegian Foreign Minister, Jan Petersen journeyed to the Sri Lankan bush where he was given a private audience by the terrorist chief Velupillai Prabhakaran.

There was great rejoicing among the ranks of UD. And Petersen got his opportunity to greet the murderer of India's Prime Minster Rajiv Gandhi, in Toto. The mass murderer must have been pleased by the recognition accorded to him by a leader of a democratic nation. And the signals received must have been right, for shortly after (12th Aug. 2005) he bumped off the Sri Lankan Tamil Foreign Minster Lakshman Kadirgamar with impunity.

Petersson and Prabhakaran's tête-à-tête may have been seen as a success by the peace industry, but it was a dark chapter in the Norwegian history which they may now wish to expunge from memory.

The UD bureaucrats' main thrust at the time was to elevate the LTTE terrorists and acquire for them global recognition, so they be placed on par with a democratically elected Government.

Quite inexplicably, there is a sudden black out as to the fate of the Tamil Tiger terrorists now. The silence is baffling the Norwegian man on the street. After all the Norsk folk have waited with anticipation for the "Jaffna Tamil freedom fighters" to achieve their ghetto homeland where unadulterated Tamils can reside?

The Norsk public are been kept totally ignorant of what's taking place in Sri Lanka. If they were aware, they would raise question as to what went wrong with their Foreign policy all over again. Yet in spite of the news blackout in the Norsk media, tons of things have been unfolding in the island.

One obvious reason for the news blackout is failure of UD foreign policy to influence events in Sri Lanka. The UD played a key role in assisting the Tigers to win the terrorists' war. But contrary to their expectations the Tiger terrorists have lost all the territory they controlled in the east. This is not what the UD wanted. Their idea of making peace was to give the terrorists what they wanted. But that policy has sunk with the Tiger terrorists boats in the Indian Ocean. The Tigers are on the run. Karuna Amman, the rival leader who broke away from the Tigers, has revealed that Prabkaran is now about to flee Sri Lanka. Is his destination Norway?

Indeed by 8th Oct 2006, UD's grandiose dreams of parcelling off of Sri Lanka by Westberg, Solheim and co. have come unstuck. That's when one Raymond Ferreira doused himself with petrol and set himself alight in view of thousands assembled at a mass rally in front of the Norwegian embassy. Then terrorists in desperation made three muddled assassinations attempts i.e. Army chief of Staff Lieutenant General Sarath Fonseka, the Defence Secretary Gothabaya Rajapakse (also the brother of the president) and the Pakistani Ambassador. Luckily for Sri Lankans, all 3 failed miserably. Luckily I say, because these three persons can now never be bought over, unlike the quislings Chandika and Ranil by that neo colonial power bringing big bags of money. Then in a fit of absence of mind the terrorists propped up by European neo-colonial power brokers, challenged the Lankan state, which forced the government to act. And the following chain of events precipitated;

a.) Terrorists cut off the water supply to over 30,000 acres of paddy lands in Seruwila threatening the livelihoods of a large farmer community. The community consist of Tamils Muslims and Sinhalese.

b.) The closing of the Mawilaru anicut by the LTTE caused immense hardships to more than 15,000 people for over two weeks. Then government took action to open the water source in order to save the livelihood of thousands of its citizen who would have lost everything.

c.) The Tamil civilian population of 45,000 people were used as human shields by the LTTE terrorist in Vakarai area to cover themselves from been targeted by the Army. That was the biggest challenge for the Sri Lankan Army. But the army battled the terrorists without harming a single civilian and took control of Vakarai town from the terrorists.

d.) According to the ground sources, the Tigers have forcibly held people in the Vakarai and Kathiraweli area and have booby trapped the terrain to prevent these civilians from escaping to government cleared area.

e.) The ministry said rebel Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) blocked civilians, mainly Muslims, fleeing the town of Muttur and butchered at least 100 of them. Western media and specially Norsk media censored this massacre.

f.) In spite of the hindrances put across the Tamil human shields, they started slipping away by tactically stepping around mine fields to get to the safety of government cleared area. True stories are emerging as to how LTTE misused its own people, the very people they were supposed to be defending.

g.) LTTE suicide boat rammed against freight ship , 'MV City of Liverpool' which was a private merchant vessel operated by foreign crew and chartered by a Sri Lankan company to carry essential supplies to civilians in the north. It sustained hull damage after the attack, and with water leaking into the vessel, was towed into the port. One crew member was wounded in the attack. The LTTE terrorist did not want any relief for the Tamil civilians who were trapped without essential food items.

h.) And now UN has issued a damning report that LTTE was recruiting children for its racist war, and recommends targeted sanctions.

East Sri Lanka is now cleared of terrorist, and the Norwegians are kept ignorant of the unfolding events. And a small patch in the North still remains occupied by LTTE. Is it time for the mediators to leave the sinking ship and melt away? All points indicate to such a shadowy policy by the UD bureaucrats.

Prof Johan Galtung has put forward his opinion as to why this Norsk mediated peace process was fated to fail, for "no real peace process, no real track only meetings centred on the CFA". I have the highest regard for the good professor's opinion, but he does not have the mind set to grasp the vital flaws for his theory.

Indeed for any mediated peace process to be successful, the essential ingredient is: - mediators should be truly and faithfully neutral and genuinely motivated to achieving peace. In UD mediators, there is concrete evidence to prove the reverse. In fact it can be documented beyond any doubt, that they came with a covert neo-colonial agenda for splitting Sri Lanka.

As for the main insidious covert actor the Catholic Church, it can be established that it has declared a holy war against Buddhists and Tamil Hindus already at independence in 1948. It is beyond dispute that all of the Tamil parliamentarians assassinated by LTTE were Tamil Hindus. And the LTTE leadership is top heavy with Catholics, including its terror boss Velupillai Prabhakaran.

But sadly in UDs case, its questionable role may be more treacherous than what's presented here. It has been reported that over 130000 Norwegian passports missing; and the National Criminal Investigation Service (NCIS) fears that most of these have fallen into criminal hands. I sincerely hope that is the case and that these passports are not in the hands of LTTE terrorists.

Now connect the this specific news to the Police officer involved in the sale of passports to the LTTE. Indeed to aid the LTTE terrorist agent who bribed this police officer to get these Norwegian passports, UD got down another Norwegian police officer from Thailand, to inform the judge that LTTE is not a terror organisation and got him off with a miner jail sentence. Motive for this action is obvious. They avoided unlocking a Pandora's Box. Subsequently this police officer and the LTTE agent were both jailed.

When one deliberate over these facts, a revolting picture emerges.

At this point I will hazard a guess concerning these stolen passports. These, I feel was the criminal bureaucrat's contribution to LTTE terrorists war chest. For these passports went missing somewhere in mid 2006 when LTTE needed all the help they could get due their dwindling finances. It was effected in such a manner that they aided LTTE terrorist buy arms, while at the same time washing their hands off the incident.

Soon international community will be clamouring that these shadowy financers of terrorism be brought to an International court of justice. Norwegians must act decisively to get their house cleaned up and bring these criminals to book before that.

Indeed if they were to clean house, the dirt they find would shock Norwegians beyond anything presented in this article.
