TAMILS WHO HAVE NO BUSINESS IN
COLOMBO

All normal and peace-loving Sri Lankans, Sinhalese or Tamils want the
LTTE exterminated and live in this small and beautiful island in peace
and harmony. It is also equally true that President Rajapaksha is doing
the only sensible thing any responsible leader would do, confronted
with a hell bent megalomaniac, which is to fight to eradicate the LTTE.
Prabhakaran does not have a choice of entering into a civilian administration
of any sort simply because he has murdered so many innocent people including
Tamils he realize that he has only one way out; to fight on. Another
bigger megalomaniac like him called Adolph Hitler ended his sordid life
with a bullet to his head inside a 100 foot bunker after admitting to
his one day old wife (he married the same day) that he knew he lost
the war two years before but had no choice but to fight on.
Slowly but surely the brave Lankan lads are making progress eating
into LTTE areas and liberating the Tamils who lived under the LTTE claws
so far with no choice. President Rajapaksha should continue to do so
as that is the only way to get LTTE megalomaniac to come to his senses
that he will never have his priced Elam. In fact violence is the only
language he understands given his rare but brutal genetic make up.
Why many Lankans including myself did not agree with rounding up of
Tamils in Colombo and packing them off to the North is for the simple
reason that the GOSL would play into the hands of Prabhakaran who is
looking for a straw to hang on to to rescue the sinking LTTE ship.
Yes evrybody knows there are LTTE infiltrates in Colombo who are waiting
to create meyham. But there are also Tamils who are in Colombo for other
reasons. Lanka is their country too. Roundng up Tamils will be a definite
disadvantage to GOSL in the eyes of the world given the background of
the powerful LTTE deception propaganda machine.
Why not have Tamils in Colombo Lodges register themselves with the
local police and report to them periodically. Issue them a foolproof
piece of ID and make sure anybody without an ID will be detained. High
tech world can come to our rescue provide the GOSL act with the same
competency of the LTTE. Or talk to friendly Israeli's to seek how they
keep Palestine Hamas killers on check. They can give us an idea or two.
No matter what, GOSL cannot afford to round up Tamils (which is the
easy way out but not the only way) since it will only benefit Prabhakaran.
In this 21st century world , the Lankan war with the LTTE need to be
fought not only with bullets but also with wisdom and craftiness. That
is the best reward and respect we can bestow to our brave fallen heroes
who made the ultimate sacrifice for Mother Lanka to defeat the LTTE.
