RANIL HAS TAKEN OVER BALASINGHAM’S RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE TERRORIST OUTFIT.

The Junk-UNP (also referred to as the Norway Sect by those in the Patriotic Wing of the UNP) led by the grand traitor Ranil Wickremasinghe who doesn’t understand the significance of Sinhala/Tamil New Year or the importance of Wesak for the Sri Lankans, and who is airborne almost every day to act as the latest International Spokesman of the terrorist outfit, to emphasize and canvass for the views of the terrorists to foreigners whom he worships has issued what they call a special press release with several demands including a halt to the current military operations and calling for the removal of the Defense Secretary, upholding the cravings of the terrorists. The press release has taken the form of demands Balasingham used to publish from time to time. It seems that the purported astrological prediction about a Rajayoga for Ranil was for his elevation to fill the void created by the death of Anton Balasingham in the terrorist outfit.

While enroute to Sri Lanka, after getting briefed by Eric Solheim in Norway, addressing the press at the Chennai airport Mr. Wickremasinghe said that he would be issuing a message about the Sri Lankan situation and this special statement is the outcome of this promise. It was clear at that time itself that he was going to transit Sri Lanka just for the sake of issuing a press release cooked by the Norwegians. Any Sri Lankan who watched SunTV newscast that showed him answering the press would have hanged their heads down in shame over the silly way he answered the press. Among the things he said were that Sri Lanka cannot solve the present crisis and only India and other foreign countries could do it, and he was not aware of the problem relating to shooting of Indian fishermen by the LTTE as he was abroad for the last 10 days.

It is a pity if the leader of the opposition of the country did not really know about this major issue, which was highlighted by media all over the world, or was it a deliberate statement made to protect the terrorists from this crime since it was spiraling as a major issue overshadowing the adverse racially motivated criticisms that had been made against Sri Lanka by the racist politicians in Tamil Nadu.

The points raised in the press release with ample reason to believe it may have been cooked in Norway, probably by Eric Solheim and his cohorts with a hidden motive of creating divisions in the forces, promote the concept of invincibility of the LTTE, stress the need to internationalize the issue, advocate for ceasing military operations and commence negotiations, and also to destabilize the country politically and economically. It is really hilarious to find some of its hollow demands in comparison to the past and recent acts and deeds of the Junk-UNP (or Norway Sect).

The call for protecting the territorial integrity of the country and the sovereignty of its people. What right Ranil Wickremasinghe and his pro-terrorist, pro-alien bandwagon has to speak on this subject? Didn’t they realise that when they handed over Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu Districts and other areas in the North and East through the ignominious CFA for the exclusive possession of the terrorists Sri Lanka lost its terriorial integrity and sovereignty in these areas? Was it to protect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the people they castigated the slain Foreign Minister Mr. Kadiragamar as a traitor when he protested about terrorists building their military facilities in Sampur and other areas threatening the use of Trincomalee harbour? Shouldn’t we be thankful to the Defense Secretary and Commanders of the forces for liberating these areas from terrorist occupation and marching to liberate other areas too?

Call for opposing terrorism in all its manifestation – What they mean by terrorism? Isn’t it terrorism that LTTE is carrying out, or was it some sort of nation building as per the lexicon of the Junk-UNP? Or for the Junk-UNP is it national liberation, as it is being called by the terrorists? Isn’t it opposing terrorism in all its manifestation what our gallant forces are doing? Was it to oppose or support terrorism in all its manifestation that they demand cessation of all military operations against the terrorist outfit? Are they talking about Sri Lanka or about a day dream the Junk-UNP leader had seen in a foreign country?

Call for negotiating a political settlement for a long-lasting peace acceptable to all communities which accommodates their legitimate aspirations – Why don’t they demand for the terrorist outfit to officially abandon the separatist State demand and surrender all weapons as it had been done by Aceh rebels in Indonisia, IRA in Ireland and Maoist in Nepal, so that genuine conditions for such negotiations could be established. Rather than attempting to mislead the masses with politically motivated hollow slogans while indirectly serving the enemies of the nation, they should, at least in gratitude to the people who voted them naively must value the country all and above every other thing.

Call for upholding human rights – Aren’t they a bunch of shameless hoodlums? Do they have any right to speak on this subject? There is adequate material to write many volumes on how they upheld human rights and got sadistic delight in torture chambers such as Batalanda. How many brilliant Scientists, and professionals Sri Lanka lost amomg the 60,000 youth whose human rights they failed to uphold by indiscriminately murdering them? Other than these 60,000 several hundred thousand had to flee the country to save their skin! People in Sri Lanka are not fallen from some other planet to forget or be unaware of these facts as the Junk-UNP leader who suddenly alight in Sri Lanka from somewhere, someday and keep calling himself as the leader of the Opposition of the country.

Call for prompt rehabilitation of internally displaced persons – Again what right Ranil Wickremasinghe and his cohorts have to speak on this subject? What did they do for rehabilitation of over 100,000 Sinhala and Muslim people who were forcibly evicted from the Northern Districts by their terrorist cousins in 1990 and still languish in uninhabitable refugee camps and in the houses of relatives? Are not they internally displaced Sri Lankans? Don’t they who are in the Junk-UNP have any sympathy or regard for the Sinhala and Muslim languishing as Internally Displaced Persons? Or is it because they were made displaced by their terrorist cousins and as the latest spokesman of the terrorists they are unable to be critical of them?

The call for the Co-chairs and India to interfere and cease the hostilities. - Do they represent these foreign powers or they have been voted to represent a segment of Sri Lankan people? Why they are so keen to bring foreign interference in the activities of our country? We must endeavour to find our own solutions for our problems, as it is being done in other countries without betraying the nation and the national interests. This is what everyone expect from the opposition in a democratic country. The people and the government should stand firm against this anti-national political gang who serve the terrorist enemy while attempting shamelessly to betray the country to foreign powers. The government and masses should totally ignore the adverse publicity being given to the government by this anti-national gang, vested foreign mobs, and the shameless media and make every step to totally eliminate the terrorist menace.

In conclusion, take Zimbabwe as an example to gauge the futility of this type of bogus propaganda. If someone believed in the media outrage against Zimbabwe it should be the worst country in the face of this world. But what happened at the U.N.Security Council. It was elected as the Chairman of the U.N’s Sustainable Development Committee with 26 members voting in its favour, 21 members opposed and 3 countries remaining absent. Shouting slogans in foreign countries and calling foreigners to act against the country, obstruct development, and deny aid are niggardly things never resorted to by any opposition party in the world.
