What the warlords have done
to venerated monks was disgraceful
The world has witnessed,
how they were brutally reacting
They stepped up onslaught
to silence the voice for peace
and sent Junta soldiers to the streets
to massacre their own folk!

They were using oppression
and force for many decades,
to keep silence their opponents
and to destroy democratic means
But they are not going to
survive long, in this game
the reality has been exposed
to the civilized world!

Opportunists are hanging around
The generals are selling
their blood diamonds
to fund their own luxurious living
and to buy guns and ammunitions
They can not continue this game for long
The world is watching!

Some may pretend as devoted Buddhists
while hiding their blood stained hands
where are the good old values?
Forgiveness, compassion
Equanimity and tolerance
At last monks had to come out
to teach them Buddhist principles.

They came unarmed
with boundless compassion
To raise their pro human voice
against inhuman oppression
Monks are harmless and innocent
but spiritually well advance
This could be the beginning of
a saffron revolution!

Tolerated enough
Now it's time for a big change
88 generation, monks and students
The entire democratic movement
Should move in correct time,
in the correct direction
to bring peace and freedom
To the Burmese nation!
