Parabarakan, Pottuamman, Ponniah,
Ponnambalam, Pakasotthi and Ranil

Wow, what a team, but did I miss the last P? These plunderers are the
modern day engineers of Tamil Elam in the correct hierarchy. Of course,
the odd one out is Ranil; nevertheless, his submissive and meek approach
towards the LTTE continues in the UNP leadership. February 2002 surrender
agreement is akin to the 1990 surrender order given to around 1,000
service personnel and most of them were buried in graves dug by themselves
thanks to their president! Those who resisted and escaped had to face
the music of the GoSL.
This coincides with the UNP’s devolution attempts hitting a barren
spot; for the last 20 years, the UNP has failed to come up with any
devolution/decentralisation proposal. Although they howl for a peaceful
resolution of the conflict, they have never come up with any devolution/decentralisation
proposal. They burnt others’; scoffed at others’; rejected
others’ proposals but failed to come up with ANYTHING! Even the
UNP ‘rebels’; JVP, JHU, TMVP and the LTTE (ISGA) have come
up with something.
This is because the post-Premadasa UNP believes in disintegration as
opposed to devolution. We all know that it was during Premadasa’s
time the LTTE established separate governance mechanisms in the North
and part of the East. Being at the tail end of the hierarchy, the incumbent
runs the risk of being kicked around, humiliated and even sacrificed
in the name of TE. Both RP and Ranil had instances where they conveniently
forgot the master-servant relationship and paid heavily. However, Ranil
is committed to the Elam cause and would sacrifice anything for that.
The grandson of a media mogul, he controls, directly and indirectly,
most media institutions and they are instrumental in germinating the
seeds of TE everywhere in this country. Astrology crazy Ranil also knows
that during this period of ‘henahuru dasa’ (Saturn period)
from 2003-2020, the best help comes from clandestine sources. If he
is serious about conflict resolution, he should forthwith come up with
democratic devolution proposals.
A step higher in the hierarchy we find Pakasotthi Saravanamuttu and
his Centre for Policy ‘Alternatives’; an unelected body making
alternative policies! In a strange coincidence, these alternative policies
resemble the steps needed to create Tamil Elam. Their policies have
never contradicted LTTE policies; if that happened, they would be nothing
less than tombstones. As democracy cannot be used to disintegrate this
country, they team up with other bankrupt policy inventors around the
world. It is regrettable that not even a minority of the minority agree
with their policies. However, Assignment Tamil Elam and NGO funds keep
them going.
G Ponnambalam continues to praise terrorism while remaining in the safety
of the Sinhala majority part of the country. Once there was much ado
about him becoming LTTE supremo’s son-in-law. Now that is a one
interesting yet indecent proposal. How can democracy conjugate with
terrorism? However, he too has a project at hand and working overtime
on it. It is unfortunate that he cannot even visit his voters! However,
he has made a factual statement admitting that there cannot be TE unless
the LTTE decisively defeat the SL security forces. However, the LTTE
is too scared to take on the forces; most of their victims are unarmed
civilians. Any confrontation with SL forces at this juncture will only
result in the total annihilation and rape of the LTTE.
S Ponniah Thamilsevam is the political wing leader yet he hasn’t
received a single vote. His only qualification is that Parabakaran trusts
only him with a knife at his throat; he is the barber! Apart from threatening
the government and the people with bomb attacks, he is another worthless
character.
Next up in the hierarchy is Pottuamman, a formidable pillar of the Tamil
Elam movement. He is the killer in the outfit. Twenty four years of
fighting has achieved nothing except a deserted land devoid of people
and even that is under threat of being overrun by the powerful SL Army.
Their only lifeline is the wonderbra of the female suicide bomber, fancifully
termed ‘virgin killer’ guarding them like her own newborns.
It’s a pity that Adele Balasingham couldn’t find her size!
At last but no least we have the LTTE supremo considered as a pseudo
god by a number of politicians, LTTE cadres, the others lower in the
hierarchy and by a section of the media. However, he is an individual
lacking any political support, education and discipline; a coward who
sleeps in three different places a night; a loser who has achieved nothing
but 70,000 lives for the past 35 years (24 years of war).
It is important to understand the hierarchy, links and interplay among
these individuals, their synchronised actions and ploys. This helps
in unleashing war on all spheres the LTTE octopus is active.
