HUMAN RIGHTS AND THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY

The so called international community ie The West (The rest of the world been excluded) makes governance in the poor countries impossible by demanding human rights in a world where democratically elected governments are threatened by terrorism.

These governments do not have the resources to maintain the high moral standards the west demands. The hypocrisy of it all is that the so called international community it self cannot maintain the human rights of the Iraqis and afghans whose countries they invaded in the face of terrorism. There human rights record is much worse than in sri lanka.

It is ironic of course that west and the rest of us are blind to the human rights violations by the western countries such as canada, Europe, etc. of the sri lankan citizens. It is in the west that the LTTE forcibly collect money from the diaspora, It is in the west they conduct human and drug trafficking.It is in the western Banks the ill-gotten wealth of the srilankans are banked,Directly or indirectly by there inaction they are aiding and abetting terrorism by the LTTE and encouraging human rights violations in sri lanka.

The next time they send the likes of people like Rock they must be told to go to hell.There purpose is to destabilise the rest of the world so that they can rule the roust.What we need is a man at the top who has the courage to tell them to get lost and leave us alone.
