Dear Ambassador Allan Rock:

Ambassador Allan Rock
UNSG
Special Representative on Children and Armed Conflict
New York
US
Dear Ambassador Allan Rock:
Sri Lankas Sunday Observer of January 21, 2007 reported bylined
by Walter Jayawardhana that UN diplomat allegedly involved with
terrorism. The Colombo weekly, Sunday Standard (January 14,
2007) in a page one exclusive story with a photograph of you appearing
with Waterloo Sureshs friends of his pro-LTTE student union
said, According to our sources in Canada, there is a very close
friendship between Alan Rock and lots of LTTE front organizations
and their agents, who are directly involved in raising funds for the
LTTE in the Tamil Diaspora of Canada.
In case you are wondering who the hell this Waterloo Suresh
is, here is the dope about him. Waterloo Suresh alias
Suresh Sriskandarajah (26) was arrested in Ontario during a U.S. anti-terror
probe. He was wanted in New York to face charges of providing material
support to a foreign terrorist organization. He is accused of researching
aviation equipment, submarine and warship design software, communications
equipment and, from a British Columbia company night-vision equipment.
Tut
Tut
you bunch of no good Canadian Liberals, and You
have now joined the others who are knee deep stuck in Canadian Snow
Tiger slime, all because you all wanting that 100,000 bloc Tamil votes
to send 10 of your candidates to parliament from the Greater Toronto
Area. Phew! What a bunch of dodos!
With all these reports what I am seeing is Mahatma Gandhis
wise statement, To fight injustice, you have to make it visible
at work.
Your sojourn to Sri Lanka as Ms. Radhika Coomaraswamys preferred
special representative to report back to the UN about the child abductions
and child soldiering by the Tamil terrorist groups, is where the genesis
of the injustice began. To report back to the UN was the
first responsibility that you abrogated when you got on your high
horse and reported to the world through the international air-waves,
accusing the Sri Lankan Armed Forces for helping the Karuna group
with the abductions of children, even before your put pen to paper
for the report. That too was after listening to gossip and hearsay.
It was so ominous with your zeal to get at the Sri Lankan Armed Forces;
you went at it as if you were the first white-man to discover the
elusive child eating tiger of Punani in the Wanni jungles of Sri Lanka.
A Sri Lankan government official accused you saying, Allan Rock
in his report to the UN has failed to provide the much needed credible
evidence to prove his allegations against the Security Forces.
Make it visible, is what has happened when your mischievous
efforts have with a pre-conceived agenda very likely cooked up by
your superior Ms. Coomaraswamy, an ethnic Tamil, are now being lambasted
by every critic, and reported in every Sri Lankan newspaper as well
as some abroad. You and Ms. Radhika Coomarasawmy now look like a losing
champion wrestling tag-team with bruises all over having failed in
your planned agenda.
I said in an earlier letter that I smell a rat when discussing
your collaboration with Ms. Radhika Coomaraswamy on this assignment.
Reading all these negative reports in the media and a lack of a defense
from neither you nor Ms. Coomaraswamy, does seem my smelling something
was partially right, as it happens not to be a rat as
I had thought it would be, but it now turns out to be a skunk.
The news item said, Allan Rock in his report to the UN has
failed to provide much needed credible evidence to prove his allegations
against the Security Forces. You might have thought after two
months that your story would have been archived having an historical
value on Human Rights probes in Sri Lanka. But as you see it would
only be archived as an item where Ambassador Allan Rock goes down
in history as a failed UN special representative on a Fact Finding
Mission on human rights violations on child abductions to Sri Lanka,
not having focused on the real culprits, the Tamil Tigers. That is
tough on any UN Ambassadors credibility and ego.
It is embarrassing to read your implications with the Tamil Tigers
and your failed efforts to embarrass the Sri Lankan Government and
its armed forces. Believe me; one of Ms. Radhika Coomaraswamys
six-yard saris would not even be long enough to mummify your embarrassment.
At least she owes you this much, to loan you the second sari which
might almost do the trick. After all she put you to it.
The news that has reached me is that you may very likely be the next
Chancellor of Ontarios University of Windsor. If this is indeed
correct, I would like to share my sentiments about Tamil Student Associations
at Canadian Universities, which was published in The Ottawa Citizen
on Wednesday, August 30, 2006.
Close down campus Tiger groups
Re: Tigers feted on campus, Aug. 29.
Bravo! Your article gives all Canadian university chancellors
reasons to probe the activities of their Tamil Student Associations.
It is one thing to encourage radicalism on university campuses,
but it is another to harbour terrorist cells.
Your article gives notice to the chancellors of Carleton
and Ottawa Universities. If their Tamil Student Associations are using
the guise of collecting funds for charitable causes back in the Tamil
Tiger
country, but are really helping to fight the government
forces and take
over Sri Lanka, these associations should be disbanded and barred
for
breaching the security of the campus.
- Asoka Weerasinghe, Ottawa
In concluding, my only advice to you Allan Rock, is to keep out of
Sri Lankan politics. You are now a marked man as most of us will be
keeping an eye on your efforts to help the Tamil Tiger Eelam cause,
which we will not accept it, kindly. You have now beenchalked into
my ignominious Liberal parliamentarians who are Tamil Tiger sympathizers
together with Jim Karygiannis, Paul Martin, Bill Graham, Maria Minna,
Judy Sgro, Albina Guaneiri, Derek Lee, Roy Cullen, John McKay, Bryon
Wilfert and Joe Volpe.
Yours sincerely,
Asoka Weerasinghe
