Are SLAF Fighters Mothballed?

Tiger planes have visited Colombo and other places in Sri Lanka more than once and returned without even suffering a scratch. Citizens have observed sea-hugging planes, avoiding radar. Yet it seems that SLAF has either been asleep or totally ignorant about the enemy.

First, the govdernment must lead in the education and motivation of the entire patriotic citizens in Sri Lanka to "be a soldier". This is WAR! Be a proud soldier to defend your Motherland!

Second, the Ministry of Defence should have emergency telephone contact points and a Free telephone access, to call, during an emergency, such as 0800-999. Such calls must be answered within three rings, but not after one hour's hold or busy or unavailable answers.

There should be an email service point to encourage both Sri Lankans and foreigners to give information. Perhaps LankaWeb might consider placing several Email Hot Line points on the LankaWeb.

The telephone receptionists attending this service must be educated to obtain logistical data within seconds and to be recorded at source to be forwarded immediately and automatically.

The standard practice and culture in Sri Lanka, with a "Haloooo" without responding with "who you are!" should be replaced by auto-tracing of incoming call and for example; "Thank You for Calling Emergency Defence Centre...........Please give your information clearly..........".

Third, the SLAF should pound the LTTE areas day & night without any mercy. There should be blanket bombing until the Tiger planes and air strips are wiped out. Perhaps SLG should consider a price for Prabhakaran's head, Dead or Alive, a nominal US$ 10 million. This might interest a few patriots from Tamil Nadu or even within Killinocchi.

Fourth, Colonel Karuna should be invited to join the SL Army as a collaborating complementary force officially.

Fifth, The SL Navy should invite, the naval forces of all major powers, USA, UK, Russia, India, Pakistan, China, Singapore, Thailand to utilize Trincomalee as a Naval Training Base in cooperation with SL Navy and SLAF.

The Tamil Tiger Terrorists, as they have demonstrated to date, are involved in Drug Running, Money Laundering, Prostitution, Criminal Scams & Frauds (as in the UK), aiding and abetting other Terrorist agencies globally. The global recognition of the Tiger Terrorism is increasing daily.

Much of the help to Tiger Terrorists to consolidate their strength has been funded by the Royal Norwegian Government led by Eril Solheim, a government Minister. As a member of NATO, the NATO HQ should instigate an investigation into the conduct of Norway in their association with a global terrorist organization, which is proscribed by many NATO members.

But the main defence and fight must start at the source. SLAF should now remove the mothballs off their fighter, and have them on a war-footing, ready to scramble within seconds but not after 24 hours!
