Doctor Velupillai Pirapaharan, just after his birthday, discovers a method to cure Polio

Sisira Pereira, Panadura

The LTTE leader terrorist Pirapaharan turned into a doctor just after his 53rd birthday.

He, in his so-called heroes' day speech, advised the international community to change its approach. A day after, he, being the eternal terrorist that he is, chose not to change his approach but to enhance it with a novelty.

This time he directed a polio-affected woman to go blast herself in Colombo to martyrdom, so that he can hang her portrait in some den in Wanni and garland it later to show to the LTTE diaspora to collect some more money!

Everybody has known Pirapaharan to be an ?innovative' terrorist who would dare to do even the most unthinkable if it suits his objective. The whole world knows that Pirapaharan gave a new dimension to human bombs. However, the latest human bomb he had sent to Colombo, reveals the depth of the gutter from where he can pick his tactics of terror to dehumanize the society.

At a time when the world is fighting to save all its children from the dreaded disease, Polio, Pirapaharan chose a woman afflicted with the very ailment to achieve his killing. Thereby, he has surpassed all medical attempts all over the world trying to discover a way of eradicating the menace, and used the menace to his own, idealized advantage.

The pro-LTTE NGO's should now build up a case to award Pirapaharan with the Nobel Prize for Medicine. If he is allowed, the world would certainly be rid of Polio!!

The LTTE diaspora all over the world, who are busy collecting money to be sent to the babrbarian King hiding in the Wanni, should sit back for a while and take stock of this new reality created by their so-called demi God.

Certainly it is not a good idea to send the hard earned money to a maniac who is prepared to blow even a polio patient to achieve his goal, if what you want is to contribute to something honourable.

I wonder what the Human Rights watch dogs and Reporters without Borders and the likes would say about this newest tactic of Pirapaharan.

Would they come out and condemn the act as against Geneva convention?
