Mr. Perera,
This is a response to your open letter (see below), which you have addressed
to the President and other political and religious leaders in Sri Lanka.
First, like any sensible Sri Lankan, I am utterly disgusted and infuriated
that you have the audacity to include a vicious, murderous terrorist
manic in the same list of leaders. Second, your appeal to the SARRC
leaders to pressure the Government of Sri Lanka (GOSL), to accept a
phony ceasefire offered by the LTTE is nothing but an attempt to help
the LTTE to re-organize and re-group military, which the LTTE is desperately
trying.
No doubt, this is a well-orchestrated plan by the foreign funded NGOs'
like yours to cash in during the SAARC conference by falsely portraying
that the LTTE is serious about peace, and their offer of ceasefire is
genuine. Like in the past, this is nothing but a clever attempt by the
LTTE, with the help of their NGO sympathizers to get a break from the
Sri Lankan Armed Forces, so that once again the LTTE can re-group, re-armed
and attack the Sri Lankan forces, which have done an outstanding job
in liberating the innocent Tamils and Muslims in the East, and now in
the North, from the LTTE terrorists. Your appeal for peace is a ploy
to throw a life line into a group of terrorists who are militarily and
politically weak, and on the verge of getting eliminated - thanks to
the brave men and women of the Sri Lankan Armed Forces.
Yes, we understand clearly why it is important for the organizations
like yours to keep this terrorist outfit alive, because very survival
of the organizations like yours depend on the survival of these terrorists.
NGOs' like National Peace Council (NPC), which is funded by the Norwegians,
and other pro-LTTE sources, have done everything to discredit the Armed
Forces and the GOSL, with numerous charges ranging from the human-right
violations to genocide. For years NPC, has been deceiving the Sri Lankans
and the International community, under the guise of Peace - only to
promote the LTTE agenda, with the help of your sponsor - the Norwegian
government. It is no secret that the NPC, under your management has
been quite outspoken against the GOSL, and it's aim to eradicate Tamil
terrorism militarily.
Many foreign funded NGOs' like NPC have been relentless in their effort
to tarnish the GOSL, and its military campaign against the Tamil terrorists.
While these same NGOs' have been critical of the military operation,
none has been very critical of the barbaric and senseless killing of
the innocent men, women and children in the south, by these blood-thirsty
murderers, with their suicidal and mass bombing of busses, trains and
other crowded places. Where is the outrage by the NGOs' like yours,
during these heinous and disgusting killings in the south by the LTTE..???
Your appeal to the International Community and SARRC members to come
forward as mediators and negotiators is exactly what the LTTE wants
at this critical juncture, as they are looking for a way to stop the
Sri Lankan Armed Forces advancing into their territory to liberate the
innocent Tamil civilians, of whom LTTE has been using as a human shield
to protect themselves from the Armed Forces. In other words, you are
appealing to the International Community and SAARC members on behalf
of the LTTE, using a phony ceasefire as a bait to satisfy the LTTE agenda.
Also, your appeal to religious leaders is laughable knowing fully well
that only Christian Church is sympathetic to the LTTE, as it shows in
the attached picture how some Christian priests have stood shoulder
to shoulder, showing their support to this murderous group. Unfortunately,
these Christian priest along with the NGOs' like NPC have done nothing
to promote peace in Sri Lanka. If anything, they have only promoted
terrorism, prejudice and racism so far, by being biased against the
majority of the population in Sri Lanka.
It is time for these phony NGOs' like NPC to realize that they can no
longer milk the situation in Sri Lanka, under the false pretense of
Peace (or ceasefire..), which frankly they have exploited for the longest
time only to serve their own hidden motives, while promoting the LTTE
agenda.
Thankfully, they can no longer fool the masses, either in Sri Lanka
or abroad. The truth always prevail, no matter what.
