Poor quality research on Inequality, Human Security and Ethnicity

This open letter is in response to the article that appeared in Tamilnet with the title “Sri Lanka, a case of political inequality “. The article refers to Frances Stewart, the director of the Oxford based Centre for Research on Inequality, Human Security and Ethnicity (CRISE).

Indeed inequality is catalytical in generating violence. Large number of bogus refugees have been allowed into Western countries and these bogus refugees fund the terror war in Sri Lanka. As a clear example, any one visiting East Ham, London or many areas in London would see many Tamil businesses but would hardly see a Sinhala owned business or even a Sinhalese. Indeed you should leave Oxford and visit London to see the favouritism to Tamils and the discrimination against the Sinhalese, and the inequality of treatment of the Sinhalese by the authorities. Clearly the situation in London, that is mirrored in many Western countries demonstrate the inequality Western Governments have practiced. This clear and visible inequality is translated in to inequality in political, economic and financial power. Due to the inequality of treatment given to Tamils, in favour of Tamils, the Tamils monopolise the access to politicians, MPs and those that matter. Due to the inequality, favouritism to Tamils and discrimination against the Sinhalese, the Tamils are able to carry out a successful propaganda war against Sri Lanka. There is even no structure to counter LTTE disinformation, and as a result LTTE disinformation go unchallenged.

Again let us look at inequality. There are over 100 million Tamils world wide and only 14 million Sinhalese. These 100 million Tamils have the potential to contribute to the fascist, racist terror group LTTE, that has a mission of carving out a part of Sri Lanka for a mono ethnic racist State. In fact out of the Tamils, many are rich. Out of the Sinhalese many are poor peasants, again showing inequality. One clear example of inequality is, thousands of peasants in the North Central Province in Sri Lanka are dying of disease due to lack of clean drinking water. In contrast, the bogus refugees live in luxury in Western countries and these bogus refugees have disposable income that fund the terror war.

To quote Ms Stewart : “ If you have one group that is in a majority, they can really suppress the freedoms of a minority group". This is indeed what the world Tamils, in excess of 100 million are doing to the minority Sinhalese of 14 million. In deed Sri Lanka is ruined and destroyed by this majority Tamil group. Please wake up Ms Stewart.

Can’t you see that fascist, racist LTTE is trying to expand Tamil Nadu, just like Hitler tried to expand Germany. You appear to be unaware that LTTE use cunning and deception to mislead the world.

It is generally known that inequality of power enabled European invaders to destroy the native south and north American Indians. I do not think, the Sinhalese would like to be wiped out in the same manner by racist Tamils. It is time for the sleeping Sinhalese to wake up, thanks to the reminder by Ms Stewart on inequality.

I wonder if Ms Stewart is aware of the Sami people in Norway who have experienced inequality, have been marginalized and denied their fundamental rights for centuries

If Ms Stewart is serious about understanding ‘Group Violence in Sri Lanka’, then she ought to study racism, study bogus refugee scams, study conduct of fascists such as Hitler, study the conduct of criminal groups and networks and study how the Sinhalese were destroyed by South Indian Tamil invaders. She should be able to see similarity of the conduct of Prabakaran and that of Hitler. LTTE have already carried out ethnic cleansing and I do not think the Sinhalese want to experience more of that. If they continue to be inactive, as in the past, then they are likely to experience more ethnic cleansing.

The situation in Sri Lanka in a nut shell is that a racist, fascist criminal group that get its funding from a network of racist Tamils spread over the globe is attempting to carve out a part of Sri Lanka, for a mono ethnic racist Tamil State, thereby enlarging the Tamil state Tamil Nadu in South India. LTTE have eliminated nearly all non racist, democratic Tamil leaders. Your statement that there is political inequality is nonsense and garbage as the elections in the Tamil majority East was won by a Tamil group aligned to the Government. Further, there is more ethic minority representation in GoSL than in UK. LTTE killed the Tamil Sri Lankan foreign minister and also killed the Tamil chief Government Whip. Would UK or any other Western country allow an ethnic minority to be the foreign minister ?. Ms Stewart, you have not done your research and have written inaccurate garbage. You should refer to the SPUR website . http://www.spur.asn.au/ to get factual information about the Tamil politicians killed by LTTE and also facts about ‘inequality’.

This case again shows the need of GOSL to have a structured approach to dealing with LTTE propaganda. There is also a need for various Sri Lankan missions abroad to inform academics about the nature of the conflict in Sri Lanka.

CRISE Could research into how the bogus refugees are funding the terror war and destroying Sri Lanka.
