"WOLVES IN SHEEPS CLOTHING": NEED TO BE CAUTIOUS OF OVERSEAS TAMILSDr. Daya Hewapathirane AthurugiriyaOne should not overlook the fact that, the overwhelming majority of
Sri Lankan Tamils living overseas, were providing all possible assistance,
both directly and indirectly, using all possible deceitful means, to
this ruthless Tamil murderer Prabakaran and his terror movement for
over two decades. It was just last year, on November 27, 2007 to be exact, that this
racist terrorist maniac Prabakaran acknowledged publicly the overflowingly
abundant assistance he was receiving from these overseas Tamils. In
his special public speech to Tamils living abroad, which was given wide
publicity by his international and national stooges, that : Now that their racist terrorist ship is sinking, it appears that a god number of these same overseas racist Tamils, and the stooges and promoters of Tamil terrorism are stating that the Tamils everywhere should distance themselves from their former "savior and warrior" this racist terrorist monster Prabakaran, and the campaign of murder that they once supported vigorously. In fact, it is amusing to see that some of them have even formed new organizations to express their displeasure and disapproval of the racist LTTE activities and calling Tamils to leave the Kilinochchi region. This seems to be a strange turn of events. This change of heart appears to be way too sudden and we should not be misled to believe that this attitudinal change is one that is genuine and reliable. We need to be very cautious of what these fellows say and do in the days to come. This can be another of those devious strategies and tactics of these treacherous "wolfs in sheeps clothing". Having observed and experienced what they have done in North America during the past two decades, I am suspicious of this somewhat sudden change of attitude in some quarters of the overseas Tamil community. For some, perhaps, it may be a means of their trying to save face and avoid humiliation in the light of the inevitable triumph of our legitimate national struggle to eliminate Tamil terrorism once and for all. They may be convinced that it is a loosing battle for them, and that they have no choice but to distance themselves from the losers. Often proven to be a community that is a lot introvert, some of these fellows may have changed for their own individual selfish benefits. We have nothing against anyone who wishes to shed extremist feelings and joining us to build a nation which is peaceful and prosperous, a nation which shuns extremism and terrorism and where democracy prevails, and a nation led by bold, patriotic and compassionate persons, who will not permit racism and terrorism to ever raise their heads in our land. We want all the non-indigenous minorities of our nation, whatever label they may hold, to join us to build one nation, a nation founded on the noble principles of non-violence, tolerance, compassion, where peaceful co-habitation is the cornerstone.
