SAME ARTISTS OF THE LONDON MEGA SHOW OF THE WHITE PIGEON WILL TAKE PART IN THE TRO SHOW IN PARIS ON FOLLWING DAY

By Rangajeeva Rajakaruna

The group of mega artists from South India who are scheduled to take part to raise funds for “White Pigeon”- a discreet front organization for the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in London will openly fund raise, for the Tamil Rehabilitation Organization (TRO) in Paris, banned in many countries for pumping money to the coffers of the Tamil Tigers.

The TRO, a bogus charity was banned in the United Kingdom and was replaced by White Pigeon, while its predecessor TRO is yet to be banned in France although a request has been made by the Sri Lankan authorities to the French government to do so.

Pro-LTTE Tamil weekly, Eela Murusu, published in Paris carried an advertisement paid by the TRO that said that immediately following the White Pigeon’s London Mega Musical show at the Alexandra Palace the South Indian performing artists will leave for Paris to take part in the TRO’s Paris show at Salle LSC Eurosite.

The music group will be led by South Indian musician Shiyam, while senior Tamil actor Sathyaraj, his actor son and heart throb Sibi, actress Sri Lekha, actor Jeeva, actor Nanda, actress Mathumitha, Kerala actress who also plays leading roles in Tamil films, Bhavana, male singer Karthik, male singer Krish, female singer Vinaya, and male singer Mano will take part in the Mega musical show that willl more openly fund raise for the LTTE, according to the TRO advertisement.

Arrangements for both shows have been done by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, the Sri Lankan authorities have complained.

The two Paris shows which are scheduled to be held Sunday 13 th January at 12 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. are expected to earn at least two million pounds.

Meanwhile the allegedly LTTE front, White Pigeon has agreed with the London Metropolitan Police not to violate Anti Terrorism laws of Britain in a MOU with the law enforcing authorities when they hold the Mega Musical show with the help of South Indian artists. According to the MOU they would only fund raise for charity and not for the LTTE. But in the past all such assurances by the fronts of the LTTE were futile that finally resulted in the banning of the TRO.

Fronts of the LTTE recently held the Tamil Mahavir day at the Excel Center London and openly violated anti-terrorism laws. The Police have sent evidence about the violators to the crown prosecutor’s unit for the culprits to be charged. The organizers have exhibited the LTTE leader Prabhakaran’s birth day broadcast live on huge TV screens at the centre.

In a major move by the United States government, on November 15 last year the US Department of Treasury designated the Tamil Rehabilitation Organization (TRO) as a fundraising front organization for the terrorist group, LTTE. TRO’s offices in 18 countries, including the one in Cumberland , Maryland USA were also designated . The designations, authorized by executive order 13224 of the US government, prohibit Americans from engaging in financial transactions with designated group and freeze any assets the group may have made.

Immediately, after the US ban the United Kingdom followed suit. Australian investigations revealed that millions collected from Australians to aid victims of the Tsunami disaster in Sri Lanka have been used by the TRO to the procurement of arms for the LTTE. Sri Lanka froze assets of the TRO first and confiscated them later.
