Letter to co - chairs.Ben Silva UK12 - 1 -08 It would reveal how the CFA allowed LTTE to carry out an undeclared secret war against Sri Lanka. Until recently, LTTE have been the predators, preying on members of the government, the security establishment, the administrative apparatus, non-LTTE politicians, and so on without following any rules of war. An investigation would also reveal how funding for terrorism is destabilising Sri Lanka, and causing HR abuse. Detailed coverage of the termination of the CFA is covered in 'No regrets on abrogation of CFA but an investigation is needed' [11] ref. http://www.lankaweb.com/news/items08/080108-7.html I would urge you to read this article. Whilst acknowledging the help given by EU countries to Sri Lanka, it appears that they have been misled by carefully crafted LTTE propaganda and the truth has to be told. It appears that EU countries have been taken in by the deception of LTTE, hook, line and sinker, similar to the recent case involving the Irish International University. The truth may be painful to hear, nevertheless, unless the truth is told progress cannot be made. I believe it is time to call a spade a spade . It is time that the
naked emperor is told the truth. So far, EU has not been told the truth
that they are the cause of the problems in Sri Lanka. They have favoured
Tamils and discriminated against the Sinhalese. They have allowed a
vast number bogus refugees into their countries , allowed fund raising
to be carried out [3],[8] and the money raised in the Western countries
have de stabilised Sri Lanka. If they are genuinely interested in human
rights, then they should stop the human trafficking, arms trafficking
and fund raising for terrorist activities in Sri Lanka, and then terrorism
would fizzle out without loss of life. Now these European counties if
they are genuinely interested in human rights, then they should let
GoSL to eliminate terrorism, without letting it to drag on causing more
deaths. EU leaders failed to recognise the mission of LTTE, which is to carve
out a part of Sri Lanka to form a Tamil Racist state [1]. EU leaders
failed to recognise the connection between the global fund raising of
LTTE and terrorism [1],[3],[8]. EU leaders failed to realise that LTTE
have carried out ethnic cleansing of Sinhalese and Muslims [10],[9]
and carried out a large number of massacres in Sri Lanka. EU leaders
failed to recognise the true nature of LTTE. EU also failed to recognise
that LTTE as a deadly terror group that has perfected the use of terrorist
bombers, invented the suicide belt, pioneered the use of women in suicide
attacks, murdered some 4,000 people in the past two years alone and
assassinated two world leaders-the only terrorist organization to do
so [6]. EU failed to recognise that LTTE has to be stopped in its track.
EU should stop hounding Sri Lanka and let Sri Lanka get on with the
job of eliminating terrorism. It appears that EU leaders have been fooled by LTTE propaganda hook,
line and sinker or they are neo colonialists using HR as an excuse.
Further, does it make sense to get advice from Europeans who have raped
Vietnam, Cambodia, other Asian countries and who have carried out killing
in Iraq in a grand scale ? Further it is the same Europeans that killed
Jews in a most horrific and inhuman manner now telling Sri Lanka what
to do. I thought to my self, should I mention slavery. No I will leave
it for the moment but would like to mention the great speeches made
by Martin Luther King and Malcolm X. These speeches reveal how the image
of Sri Lanka is tarnished. When countries that have carried out ethnic cleansing, responsible for two world wars, and carried out most inhuman barbaric treatment of humans, talk about human rights, one begins to wonder, if is there a hidden agenda. When there is an on going military operation to liberate Vanni, it is certainly risky for observers to venture into Vanni, as it could put their lives at risk and also jeopardise the military operations, to free the people of Vanni from the grips of terrorists. On that basis, no one should be allowed into the region. Sri Lanka is carrying out its legitimate duties to safeguard its people and Sovereignty. The liberation that has taken place in the East should be extended to the North. Neo colonialists should not attempt to undermine Sri Lanka's Sovereignty. If they do, it shows that imperialism has not been put away and they are ever ready to raise their ugly head. This is some thing that Indians need to be aware of . India need to be aware that imperialists will use their proxies to destabilise the region and fragment India. There should be no diplomatic access to Vanni as the safety of diplomats cannot be guaranteed in the middle of a military operation to liberate the people. Further such access could jeopardise the military operations going on to safeguard human rights. Absolutely, no criticism is made of Japan or USA as they have been Sri Lanka's friends. Even in the case of Europeans, it is likely that it is Norway is the main culprit. Norway is attempting to drag the others into the cesspit Norway created. It is well known and well documented that Norway has been funding and supporting terrorism. Again, even in the case of Norway, it is a few rouge elements at fault and not the people. GoSL should go forward in its determination to eliminate terrorism
and the people of Sri Lanka need to be informed through mass media,
of threats posed by neo colonialists. There is urgent need for Sri Lanka to go for self reliance in defence technology, even if we have to eat grass. Yours sincerely, Ben Silva References 1.
