Incorrect title of article by NY Times

Dear Mr. Bill Keller, Executive Editor of the NY Times,

There is a glaring error in the title of article published by NY Times dated November 15, 2008.

It incorrectly says "Sri Lanka Seizes Tamil Stronghold" when it should say "Sri Lanka Liberates Tamil Terror Stronghold".

Please note that the entire country of Sri Lanka belongs to the people of Sri Lanka and not to just one ethnic group as the Tamil Terrorists falsely claim. Therefore we ask you stick to the facts to avoid absorbing LTTE propaganda fed to the western media by front orgs for the terrorists.

Consider the facts: Tamils live and work in peace in ALL parts of Sri Lanka. They own over half of the businesses, run political parties and publish newspapers freely in Sri Lanka. On the other hand, only a Tamil can live in the North or North-East of the island. All other ethnic groups live in fear of death or were systematically murdered by Tamil Terrorists. The so called “Stronghold” you mention is one such area. Therefore how can that ever be a stronghold, except an area ethnically cleansed by the Tamil Terrorists? This is genocide driven by racism and hatred which is a core element of Tamil Terrorist ideology. We did not see any coverage of these facts in your article. How can we get you to cover this topic in a fair manner?

We ask you to therefore republish the article with the proper title “Sri Lanka Liberates Tamil Terror Stronghold”.
