Anandasangaree's letter to President Rajapakse. Is He Serious About His Request?

Is Andasangaree serious when he states "No bombing of terrorist targets at night or daytime by the air force without informing the Tamil terrorists first?"

Anandasangaree wrote a letter to President Rajapakse and was published in the Asian Tribune on 04-18-2008. In my opinion, no sensible person who wants to eliminate terrorists will make such a request. On the other hand, supporting terrorists is a multi-million dollar business. If any one or a group of people want to discredit the Sri Lanka armed forces, then they call upon both sides to stop the war and start talking. This is announced by holding a news conference, publishing articles and writing letters to the president Rajapkse or meeting him. Then they approach the known donors, wealthy Tamils living in US, Canada, UK, Australia and Indian RAW. All theses sources have millions of dollars at their disposal.

Examples are: Group of former heads of armed forces met with the Mahanyakes and the president. What did they want? Stop the military advances and pull the military to their barracks. Retired General Janaka Perera in his recent news conference stated that chief of staff at that time, when he was the commanding officer in Jaffna, told him to pull back his troops. If he doesn't give that command, his wife will be taken to the CID integration room and harassed. Why, some one offered this chief of staff millions of dollars to stop the military from advancing. Following, I do not have any proof other than seeing some e-mails that were floating about at that time: The chief of staff General Janaka Perera mentioned lives in a large mansion situated in Los Angeles, California. Few years ago his son or the daughter got married and the wedding reception was on board a yacht. It would have cost half a million dollars, minimum for a yacht to take about two hundred people out to sea and be back next morning. Where did this chief of staff get this kind of money? Certainly not from arms deals, may be some. From the e-mails floating around at that time, Cie Baba, gave millions of dollars to then president Chandrika and to the chief of staff to stop the military advance. See what happened, the military advance was successfully stopped.

Another person to surface again is Sri, Sri Ravisankar. He has millions of dollars at his disposal. He will willingly give any one, millions of dollars who is willing to discredit the Sri Lanka armed forces and make them stall the military advance. Next person to surface will be Irish McGuiness, but so far he hasn't, for some unknown reason.

One can see the picture coming in to focus now. Anandasangaree few months ago wrote an open letter to Prabahakaran. Now, an open letter to the president! In this approach, he is fully buffered as an independent person not in any way anti Sri Lankan armed forces. Now let's focus on the "Seesaw" effect that Tamil Chelvam spoke about and Nadesen is now talking about. As one can see, today Tamil Nadu Tamils are using every available International organization to protest about human rights violations by Sri Lankan government. Latest news item states that the Tamil Nadu government wants the current war stopped and bring back the cease fire agreement with the Norwegian peace monitors. This has happened in the past. Any terrorist out fit in the world has a negotiating unit and a fighting unit. As soon as the attack by Sri Lankan military is stopped the Tamil terrorists will attack and take back all the land gains that the armed forces has already taken. Norwegians will state that the Sri Lankan armed forces started the battle and Tamil terrorists have a right to defend them self. Now one can see the so called "Seesaw" effect that Nadesen is talking about. Nadesen recently stated, as reported in some web sites, if the Sri Lankan armed forces capture Elephant Pass, the Tamil terrorists will capture Madewachiya. Here, what Nadesen is attempting to portray is to show the average, naïve Sinhala person that this war cannot be won by the Sri Lankan Armed Forces, so only thing one is seeing today is the "See Saw" effect?

Anandasangaree, in his letter states that he was in Jaffna when the air force flew over and he could not bear the noise, the air craft made. My question is why did he go there? And my answer is; some one told him to go there. This some one wanted Anandasangaree killed by an Air Force bomb. If that happened then the international community can request the Sri Lanka government to stop the military advance. In his letter Anandasangaree states that he wants the Army to liberate the people of Vanni from LTTE, but he also states that no civilian should be killed by the Army actions. What logic is he using in this letter to president Rajapakse, one cannot figure out, because he wants the people in these areas to be informed that the Air Force is about to drop bombs. He cleverly avoids stating who will go to Killinichchi to inform the people. Well, could it be the Government Agent who will get the information by telephone of imminent bombing and where the bombs will fall. Then the Government Agent will inform Prabhakeran who will remove all military equipment and bring civilians to the area where the bombs are to be dropped.

Anandasangree is living in the past, at least in my opinion, or his old age is catching up. This type of scenario did happen during Premadase time. Paskaralingam, Premadase's security advisor was present at all meetings that Premadase attended. When Armed forces requested Premadase to sign off a military operation that included bombing of targets, he told the military high command, that he needed time to think about it and to give him at least three days. Paskaralingahm then takes a private plane to Madras, now Chennai and tells the Tamil terrorist high command what the Sri Lanka military is about to embark on. Paskaralingam comes back and reports to Premadasa. By now Tamil terrorists have moved the military hardware to safe places and planted civilians in the area where the bombs will be dropped. Premadasa now calls the military high command and signs the authorization. The army is now a sitting target for the Tamil terrorist. Premadase, Chandricka and Ranil period is gone for ever. This period will never come back again. Sinhala can now stand up and be proud of their armed forces.
