I read Mr Thiru Vaidiyanathan's remarks and accusation on Muslim leader's claim for CM. I strongly believe that Muslims have every right to demand such a post. First of all, President has assured Mr Hezbollah that in the event that Muslims secure more seats than Tamils the post of CM will be given to a Muslim. Secondly, Muslims represent nearly 40% of population of Eastern Province little bit more than other two communities. On these two account, that this should be given this post. Moreover, Muslims are badly discriminated in the hands of Tamil militias in the past: Many Muslim leaders were brutally killed, innocent farmers, traders, business people were butchered. Even Muslim devotees were murdered in the mosques: Kanthandudi mosque genocide, Eravour Muslim village massacres are still vivid in the mind and hearts of Muslims people and Killing of talented Muslims Government Agents Mr Maqbool and Mr Habeed Muhamed Still in our memories.

Muslims were chased out within 24 hours from Jaffna and Manner at gun point. Is these not aggression against Muslims? Even during the peace process many innocent Muslim people were murdered? What crimes these innocent Muslim have done? Why did they kill these people and why did they chase Muslims out of Jaffna and Mannar? Do they have to kill innocent Muslims to achieve their political objectives? Tell me Mr. Thiru Vaidiayanathan why did these Militias grab lands of innocent farmers and why did they destroy boats of innocent Muslims fishermen? Do they want to chase all Muslims out of Eastern province as they did in the North? Do they want to do genocide once again? With all these recent atrocities, murder records, we do not want be more victimized and marginalized?

That is why We Muslims want have CM from Muslim community to get our basics rights: Tamils as minority claim that they have been discriminated and marginalized by Srilankan governments. The very basis of such claim is disputable to greater extent. I can justify with statistics that Tamils are not discriminated in education and employment. But it is Muslims who are marginalized in these areas. We Muslims do not want to be marginalized and discriminated by another minority? Muslims are still living in fear with memories of horrible past. Then, what is wrong with this demand of CM to protect basic rights of our people.

Furthermore, you vacantly accused Muslims of resorting to communalism. This is really utter non-Muslim and abject denial of plain truth . You have indeed, forgotten the chronological order of barbarism and atrocity targeted against Muslims: Who did resort to communalism first? Is it not Tamil Militia who initiated violence against Muslims in communal line? Or do you know any incident of Muslims chasing out Tamils of their homes in any place in Srilanka. Did Muslims come to Hindu Temples to murder innocent devotees? Cite at least one example to prove that Muslims resort to communalisms: Muslims. What Muslims asking is to give them their basic democratic human rights within the constitutions of Democratic Republic of Srilanka. Yes, Muslim want preserve their religious and cultural identity? But we do not resort to violence to get our rights.

Dear Mr Thiru vadithinathan. I really understand your concerns about Batticaloa Tamils. We all know that Batticiloa Tamils are discriminated and look downed by Jaffana Tamils throughout history. It is true that Baticaloa Tamils are marginalized in employment, job opportunities and promotion by Jaffana Tamils. You could cite hundred of stories for this ruthless discrimination? We all sympathy with you and we have our full support to you and Eastern Tamil against this aggression by Jaffna Tamils. But it is not Muslim who scorned Batticaloa it is rather your own Tamil people? But we Muslims can not revenged for the mistakes of Jaffna Tamils and tell me if Batticaloa Muslims have done any genocide against Batticiloa Tamils:

We Muslims do not want divide this beautiful small island into watertight compartments but what we demand is that we must be treated as very other Srilankan citizen and do not want to be victimized any more that is why we make such demands. Muslims Politician stood silence. Because, we do not want to see more blood shed and it is our firm conviction that we could win our rights through democratic process and peaceful negotiation not through violence. It is our belief that we could replace lost of properties and wealth but we can not replace lost of life: Thousands of Police, Army and Navy officers and Tamil Tigers lost their life? For what for a piece of land? We believe that lives of the people are more valuable than the entire lands scale of North and Eastern provinces. Now we could rebuild north and Eastern parts with developments but we will never replace lost lives of the officers and innocent peoples.

That is why Srilanakn Muslims want to find a peaceful solution to this issue. More violence will bring more destruction and more lost of lives. This stand is not a political immaturity but rather this honest and viable political maturity to save innocent life. We do not want to become blood thirsty community in Srilankan history. It is not our way to take arms up to get our rights. We vehemently reject all arms struggle to get our rights. You have blankly accused Muslims of not contributing for war machines. First of all, Muslims do not like and support this ruthless bloody war as explained before. But, in contrary to your argument many Muslims army, navy and police officers laid their life in srilanka to save our mother lands from grips of terrorism. What about hundred of police officers who were killed in Kalmunai and Kalkuda police stations? what about many Muslims army officers killed battle fields and What about many Muslims youths who joined LTTE in Baticaloa and Jaffna who were killed by

LTTE on forged allegation? Please do not try hijacking the truths by means of manipulation. Muslims too have been equally victimized by this unwanted war. Who initiated this war? Was it Muslims of Srilanka? I hope that Mr Thiru will realize the truth one day and free his mind of this false accusation.

Yes, we could work to gather with Pillayan Group for the welfare of all three communities: Even, It should be Muslims stand that we all work with Tamil and Sinhalese with one condition that Pillayan group make a public apology for the crimes and murders that they have done in the past against Muslims and innocent Tamils and make sure that they give assurance that they will not commit such grave mistakes once again against Muslims.
